Welcome to VCA Algiers Animal Hospital in New Orleans, LA. We also offer our services to the communities of Westbank, Metairie, Chalmette, New Orleans East and Plaquemines Parish and have since 1967. Our veterinary team provides compassionate, high-quality care for cats and dogs and offers wellness exams, vaccines, spays and neuters, dental care, surgery, cold laser therapy and ultrasound. Our hospital also offers pet boarding and grooming. Whether your pet needs routine preventive care or support for a specific health concern, our team is here to help you make confident decisions about their care.

King had a hematoma of the ear and the care he gave my baby made me change veterinarians because he was very gentle, kind, and explained all I need to know carefully . He wasn't in a rush like most doctors are. The price was not what I thought it would be. It was a lot lot cheaper also.

- AAAlanaMay 29, 20265.0Today we established care for my new dog Ouiser, who was a stray that I adopted from St. Charles Parish Animal Shelter ( which is a phenomenal shelter) Dr. Leslie Bass was wonderful and Octavia, the receptionist, and the vet tech were delightful. Our first exam was free. Ouiser loves her new bandanna and I love all the free useful dog stuff swag that they sent me home with. I am glad to have found this vet that is so close to my house through all the positive Google reviews, so I am leaving one too, to help other pet parents.
