The employees that helped me at the beginning we're great. When I went to get my computer, the employee was nice and the manager was apologetic.
That's the only good news I've got.
I sent my laptop in for repairs for a faulty charging port. For some reason it just wouldn't charge anymore. Standard stuff: pay before, approve fixes and cost, and sign a wavier.
I knew it could take weeks to get back. I got a call a few days after dropping it off to approve the fixes.
Then I waited.
A few weeks went by and I checked the Best Buy app. It said the computer was on the way back.
Sweet!
Then, nothing. No update for a few weeks.
I went back and looked at the delivery estimates and it said it was last in transit on 6/12. That's strange, it doesn't normally take 2-3 weeks for this type of thing to ship back.
I called the service line and they gave me a FedEx number. Perfect. Apparently it had been dropped off 2 weeks prior and never scanned in. Inconvenient, but oh well, I'll go get my laptop.
I get there and it's not been fixed. They couldn't source the parts and never told me.
So I waited over a month to get this repair, and it sat at their store for 2 weeks because they never scanned it in after parts couldn't be found.
Now I've got to find somewhere else to take it for an extended period of time.
Do better.

Nearly three months ago I sent my laptop out to be repaired with Geek Squad since I bought the computer at Best Buy. I get the initial email about approving repairs fairly timely. However, after numerous attempts I am unable to reach anyone at the number provided on the email. There are outrageous wait times and I put myself on several call back lists to never receive a call back. Then I get an email that the laptop is ready for pickup in the store. GREAT! I think. But when I get to the store, I find it unrepaired and simply sent back because I “never approved repairs”. Being a full time student this was very frustrating. So I sent it back out AGAIN. I again get the approval to repair fairly quickly and call the store this time to approve. Over 2 months pass without being able to get any solid answers from anyone as to what’s going on. Finally I Force the issue and get the first solid answer. I was told the computer was repaired and would be send back out to me soon. Several days later, still no update. Call again.... will be mailed soon... several more days and I finally get the email that it’s back at the store. Only when I get there it’s with a note that ITS STILL NOT FIXED. Nearly three months and talking to several people and nobody could tell me what was going on? Clearly nobody there knows what’s going on. That’s okay! I’ll take my computer and send it direct to HP to be fixed. In the mean time I was happy to go ANYWHERE else to buy a computer. In the future, any repairs that I need done will be done so locally. The benefit of Geek Squad is the affordability and efficiency that comes with a large company. I’ll put my money elsewhere. This place has become a joke.
