I absolutely do not recommend touching this vet with a 10 foot pole. I just moved and we used a VCA in Lafayette that was amazing so we decided to go to this VCA as we live a minute away. It could not be more polarizing of an experience. First, I admit I mistakenly assumed that the vet records transferred from one VCA to another. They do not. We were informed about this as we entered and I immediately offered to retrieve the records from the one minute drive to my apartment. I was assured that they would be able to receive the documents no problem. It took 30 minutes and during that time I was meant with a vet assistant who was very nice but mentioned that my Dr. Is very new and to go easy on her as if she was prepping me that she would do a bad job. At least she was right. The Dr. came into our room and mentioned how she didn’t have the paperwork and immediately suggested we get a blood test and shot as they are required every year. I mentioned that there is a possibility she already had the test and shot as we have been to the vet twice in the past year as she just turned 1. She then continuously suggested that we get shots and blood tests without having looked at her records. I refused and we kept waiting until that 30 minute mark when the receptionist came in and said due to technical difficulties we can’t get the records today. I then said I am going to get them and I’ll be back. I left my Fiancé with the cat and tech and they conveniently found the paperwork as soon as I left. When I came back they said they do not have a blood test on file so they would have to do one. I then opened my records and pointed to it. She then assured me that she would update the file which she never ended up doing. At the beginning of the appointment we mentioned how she was not eating at the apartment and the vet tech told us the dr would talk to us about it which she never did. During the appointment we had to mention that we wanted her nails cut on 5 different occasions before they finally did it. I the Dr. said the cat had plaque build up and suggested wipes and we said that might not be the best and asked for alternatives which she did not provide. I then looked it up on Gemini and found that we can add a formula to her water and I mentioned it and they had it in stock. Every interaction took 10 minutes and we were there for 90 minutes all for a shot and nail clippings. when asking about details for the shots the dr was unsure about timeframes and the specific shots. I was relived when we finally left the room and when we went to the receptionist but then price was $190. $90 for the exam and consultation which was 30 seconds long and we didn’t even get our main concern answered about her diet. I paid the $190 and then when I asked for a receipt the receptionist printed me a draft invoice and I asked for a regular invoice and she said she was new and did not know got to print and invoice. I sighed and left. I did not want to pay elite prices for what felt like an inexperienced college practice vet. When I went and looked at my invoice and paper work the provider is listed under the experienced Lauren Wood instead of the actual doctor we had which was also a red flag. This experience was absolutely unacceptable.

We just adopted a sweet pup from IndyHumane. She was showing signs of kennel cough and needed a checkup. Dr. Woods and the vet assistant Zach were amazing! She was knowledgeable. She listened to my concerns and answered all of my questions. She sent us home with some meds and a plan of care. Great experience and as an added update, my girl Diamond is feeling a lot better! Thank you again ❤️

Dr. Taylor and veterinary assistant, Hannah took excellent care of us on our first visit. We were offered a variety of paths for the ongoing care of my dog, Squelch. This team was informative and proactive. Squelch was given a thorough exam. The front desk staff were friendly and welcoming. I feel at ease knowing Dr. Taylor will be guiding Squelch’s health for years to come. Special thanks to assistant Hannah during the intake process.

Dr. Ahmundson is absolutely amazing. She will go above and beyond to help your faithful friend. She understands every aspect, from your concerns to financial concerns, taking everything into consideration. She will offer you many options and even research the best for you. She truly cares and you can feel it each time she calls or sees your pet! I usually have very good experiences at this vet. Of course, a few times were not stellar, but for the most part, I trust my cats in their care! And boarding is great- expensive, but the caretakers are wonderful. They are very busy, so make sure to book ahead of time...if possible.
