We had a wonderful experience here. Bonnie at the front desk is very welcoming. She is so sweet. Emily the vet was very good to our cat Hunter. A very nice warm place to take your pet.

Didn't even make it in the front door. Had a horrible onboarding experience. My cat had gotten an exam and vaccines at a different VCA in July to get her vaccines up to date for a move but she needed an FRV booster vaccine. The other vet recommended skipping one of her vaccines until she was more settled as she's an indoor cat who could afford that one being pushed off, but I absolutely needed the FRV in 3 weeks. She's been doing well but is still very stressed from the move. I asked if they could skip the exam and just give her FRV booster only to lessen the stress as cats can die from stress induced heart attacks. Not only did they add the other vaccine to her appointment expectations without asking me, but they told me I had to get the exam and the receptionist I spoke to refused to elaborate beyond "she's a new patient and we haven't seen her before". I asked why her records from her previous vet showing she was in good health were not sufficient when they're from the same hospital, just a different location. I asked what the medical necessity was. I asked why it mattered that they did their own separate exam even though she's already a very stressed cat and it could do more harm than good to her. Only response was "she's new to this hospital" over and over again as if that suddenly cleared everything up. The tone the receptionist spoke with did not help as it was rather rude. She even told me that if I was that concerned about the exam, I should drive my cat back to the other VCA which was an hour away! I could not believe that she would suggest putting my cat in my car for two hours which would cause the exact same problem I was already having! Potentially even worse! Eventually she told me she was going to have the vet call me later to explain, which I accepted, only to not receive the call. I thought maybe he was busy, which is understandable, and someone would reach out with an updated ETA on when I could expect that by the end of the business day, but that never happened. Finally when I hadn't received anything by noon the following day, I reached out to another vet from a different clinic and shared my experiences, questions, and concerns. It took all of 3 minutes for them to properly address everything so I could make the best informed decision about my cat's health. I didn't receive a call until after I made the new appointment, in the middle of my workday. Needless to say I don't blame the vets themselves, but when this is my experience trying to advocate for my cat's health, it doesn't matter how lovely the vets are if I can't even get past the front door

Can't say enough good things about VCA Westmont. They are well managed, very professional and very easy to work with. Their app also makes it so easy to schedule appointments, refill prescriptions and pull paperwork. I appreciate that they're upfront with pricing before doing any procedures. We saw multiple doctors and they were all great. They are thorough and explain things clearly. When we had to put our 16 yo Am Staff down, they were very kind and compassionate when setting up the appointment. Unfortunately, our pet got very sick a week before the appointment and had to be put down at the emergency vet. Even still, VCA sent a card with condolences signed by all the staff. It was such a sweet and welcome gesture! I highly recommend this facility.

VCA is great, highly recommended. Reasonable price great doctors plenty of appointment options and pet plans to help offset costs with an annual membership which include pet visits. Discounts on meds and includes some shots and items you would get anyway.

This is the best place we have ever taken our ferrets. Dr. Zary is extremely knowledgeable about ferrets and how they behave and what their ailments can be. We have ferrets that are thriving under his care. Even when something looks off, Dr. Zary does everything to make sure he finds out what it is and explains exactly what we can do to help my little ones have the highest quality of life. I highly recommend going to this practice for any pet you may have, regardless of how far you may need to drive. I drive 40 minutes each way and it is worth it. I would never think to take my ferrets anywhere else. They deserve the best care and this location is where they receive it.
