  We've been coming to VCA Boone for a couple years now, and Dr. Hines has seen us through the hardest cases a cat household can throw at a vet. Donk (arthritis and cancer), Jive (dental issues, lymphoma), and now Moog, who just went through a urinary obstruction, bladder stones, and surgery. Every time, Dr. Hines has taken the complicated case without hesitation and explained what was happening in plain language, and referred out when she needed to. When Moog was stuck at the ER this weekend and nobody would take him without a referral or consult, she called in some connections herself and helped us get him to a surgeon in Aurora same-day. That's not something you get from every vet. And Laura at the front desk remembers every one of our animals by name. When you've lost a cat or dog and you walk in a week later with another one who's sick or just needs shots, being recognized by someone who knows your history is a real kindness. This team has been part of our family's worst and best days. I can't recommend them enough.

  We had a hard time finding a good vet for a while after we moved to Brookfield (including a different VCA in the area). Then a friend recommended us to go here. They took care of Buster so well, didn’t recommend unnecessary or poorly conceived treatments, just gave us the best options and best care possible. Today we had to put Buster down. It was amazing how accommodating, compassionate, thoughtful, and caring the staff was. They made an adjustment in their schedule to see him later in the day so we could spend time with him this morning and when we got there, the whole staff was ready and handled everything so well. I cannot thank them enough for today and for the years that the absolutely CARED for Buster.
