TLDR: Get a second opinion or come informed, don't be afraid to discuss the treatment plan you are given. You are your dog's best advocate. At the end of the day, I was able to get proper treatment from this vet, and my dog is now right as rain. I am extremely grateful they were able to book me in last minute sunday evening for something that was not an emergency. Everyone was super sweet and kind. However: I debated writing this review, but I feel it’s important to share my experience. My 7yr old dog developed a very mild ear hematoma sunday evening. I called in and they were able to book me in that evening (awesome!). In the spirit of starting treatment asap to stop discomfort and further infection, I started the hour drive over to this vet. After a cytology, I was told surgery was my ONLY option. Confused, I explained that I wanted to try treating the infection first, given how early and mild the hematoma was, but surgery continued to be strongly pushed despite my clear reluctance. After I fully declined, I was told I would need to sign a waiver stating that I was refusing her treatment (over a EAR HEMATOMA). This made me immediately distrust the vet and left a sour taste in my mouth. The vet and tech I interacted with were extremely kind and I genuinely have no ill will toward them, but I was extremely uncomfortable with how limited my options were presented considering this was not my first or second rodeo with hematomas. Surgery, in my experience, was for extremely bad hematomas, and usually treating the infection or bleeding the ears (if bad enough) is the first course of action. I saw no reason to put my dog under anesthesia if I did not need to. I have never had a vet lay out my options like this before. Usually they discuss what it is, what my options are (if more than one), and what they recommend. As of tuesday morning, with prescription ear drops and anti-inflammatories, the hematomas are completely gone with no ear "crinkling". My dog did not need expensive, unnecessary surgery, and I’m disappointed the veterinarian presented it as the definitive option and told me I would have to sign a waiver (as if I was delusional and making the wrong choice).

Great vet, my new kitten Kiara had her first vet check up this afternoon. They were very kind to her and treated her with care, she was very scared because she’s had a lot of new experiences recently and they handled her perfectly. Thank you.

Ignore the motto you hear on the phone. They say they will treat your pets like family but when I took my cat there after she hit her head and possibly broke her jaw. They wouldn’t even do X-rays because we couldn’t afford it. But hey who can afford a $1000+ X-ray out of pocket. They offer a credit card but you can’t even apply for it unless you’re on a computer because it will not work. It’s tragic this is the only animal hospital open on sundays. It was a waist of time. Because now I have to give up my cat. Everywhere is just money hungry at this point.
