This is my second experience with this business.
My previous dog, Whiskey, had a large lump that was cancerous that needed to be removed. The previous ver was not able to handle a lump this large.
The surgeons and staff were so kind. The surgeon called me himself to explain the situation. He called to check on her. (I think he's retired since) This was a few years ago. Whiskey did pass away because the cancer had spread.
Now my dog Homer, had a lump, same location on his leg.
I knew when I first saw the lump appear to get bigger that I was going to come back to this location because of the professionalism, knowledge and care they've shown to my dog and me through that difficult time.
Still excellent service. The surgeon and the tech were very understanding. They listened to my concerns and checked every skin tag and lump on him. Yes, one proved to be cancerous. Again, the surgeon explained everything thoroughly. And again followed up with a phone call before the surgery.
When I requested to have an X-ray to be sure everything else was clear, they gladly did so. He showed the X-ray to me and assured me that everything appears to be clear.
Yes, of course this is expensive, but I'd rather spend the money now than wait and cost twice as much.
After the surgery. the tech VERY THOROUGHLY explained after care, medicine use and if there was ANY issues to not hesitate to call.
Then they followed up with a text. This was not a robo text. I responded that he's doing well and eating. Yhe I had a reply back!
The personal service I've experienced here is far better than other places I've been.
Sure there's places to go for convenience or because they're inexpensive. Or it's just time for the annual shots. But when there's a problem, I feel this VCA location has my trust. I'll be going here from now on.

I’m extremely disappointed with my experience at VCA. The technician I saw, Matthew, consistently rushed through our appointments and was not informative at all. Instead of explaining things clearly, he assumed I already knew what I needed to do beforehand for my cat, even though no one had ever told me any of those requirements before.
He also told me my cat would need to be put on medication before they could even see him because he was “bad,” which felt completely unnecessary and inaccurate. My cat was not acting aggressively during the visit, and the whole interaction felt very dismissive.
What bothered me the most was that my cat was barely examined. Matthew quickly checked his heart rate but didn’t perform a thorough exam, didn’t trim his nails, and didn’t check anything else you would normally expect during a visit. The entire appointment felt rushed and unprofessional.
In the end, I paid around $300 for what was essentially two shots and almost no actual examination. I left feeling like my concerns weren’t taken seriously and that my pet didn’t receive the care he deserved. I would not recommend this location based on my experience.

Staff was very nice and friendly during our visit today, from the front desk team to the vet tech and the vet herself. They were very sweet and attentive to us and my dog. I went in for some concerns about a scrape on my dog’s head as well as itching and licking her paws. We left happy with their care and attention. Thank you very much to the team.

I truly wish I could leave two separate reviews because my experiences at this office have been very different depending on the doctor.
Dr. Little and Dr. Harres have been wonderful over the years and have done so much to help my English bulldog. They are thoughtful, thorough, and always take the time to listen. There’s a reason it can take a week to get an appointment with them — they provide excellent care.
Unfortunately, our experience with Dr. Staniskus was not the same. We were in a pinch and needed to be seen ASAP, so we scheduled with him despite having seen similar concerns mentioned in other reviews. Walking into the room, he immediately listed two tests he planned to perform without first examining my dog. I was surprised there wasn’t an initial assessment or discussion, especially since one of the tests was for an issue a previous doctor at the practice had already ruled out.
When I tried to ask questions, I felt there was very little room for conversation. The exam felt rushed, and the tests caused my dog visible discomfort. As expected, the test I had questioned came back normal.
As a pet owner, it’s incredibly frustrating to feel unheard when you’re simply trying to advocate for an animal who can’t speak for themselves.
I will absolutely continue seeing Dr. Little and Dr. Harres and highly recommend them. I would personally choose to wait for an appointment with them in the future.

Brought my cat here because he was licking himself raw and had bare spots on his butt duclaw and face. I was told it was just allergies and there’s not much they can do for cat allergies. After another month of my cat suffering we brought him to a different vet to find out he had multiple infections and his anal glands were extremely full and the anal glands might’ve been infected as well. Waste of money and my poor cat who clearly had something wrong was miserable even longer because this vet for some reason just thought it was allergies.
