  It seemed good at first then we go to make another appointment for my dog, to be told we need to sedate my dog before coming into the next appointment. Which is unnecessary, he isn’t a biter, he’s playful all he was is a little nervous he didn’t try to do anything at the appointment he even tried to play and say hello at the end once he got comfortable. The dog was absolutely fine at the appointment. Coming later we want our dog off a medication because it’s medically unnecessary for our dog to be on it, we even texted photos like asked to show our dog is fine and we want him off medication since being on a medication when it’s not needed can be harmful to a pet and even a human.. to be told no we have to come in either way, no matter the fact we have already discussed he looks great, when we just want him off the meds and weened off now… we don’t want harm to our animal… we get rude responses about this and nothing is being done… the front staffing over the phone can be rude, the doctor doesn’t seem to care about the patient very much if they are unwilling to abide by taking a pet off a medication that is medically unnecessary to continue while proven.

  Thank you to County West Animal Hospital for the compassion you showed yesterday (12/4) as I said goodbye to my George. I walked in feeling like my world was collapsing, and you met me with gentleness when I could barely hold myself together. The way you talked to him, the care in your voices, the soft way you handled his tired body—it cut through the heartbreak just enough for me to get through those final moments. Letting him go destroyed me, but you helped make his last breath peaceful, and I’ll carry that with me forever. Thank you for giving my boy dignity when I was losing him.

  I drive past other vets to come to County West. It is clean, bright, friendly, fast, organized and well priced. They take care of the pets and make sure all your questions are answered.
