  I took in a stray cat that had been attacked by coyotes so I was shaken up. They were so kind, quick and were excellent in communicatiing the kitties condition. Ultimately the owner showed up so I left. I hope I never need their emergency services again, but if I do they showed great compassion toward me and the cat Smokey.

  We brought our cat in for emergency care and our experience was exceptional. From the moment we walked in, the front office staff were immediately helpful and called someone to take him to be seen right away. We were directed to a room to wait where the staff were caring and upfront with us about possible pricing based on what he might need. After a short wait, the doctor came to update us and give us his recommendations. He was very knowledgeable and explained our possible options clearly. We decided to have our cat monitored for a bit, and the staff kept us updated through the whole process until he was safely able to come home. I also wanted to add that our cat had a pretty messy accident in his carrier on the way over, and they went above and beyond to clean both him and his carrier, which was extremely kind of them. Our cat was treated with care and urgency. We are very happy with our experience here, and would happily trust our pets with them in the future.

  The staff is very friendly and helpful, which is really wonderful when you’re there because of a pet emergency. They triage almost immediately, and let you know how long it will be (althought I’ve never had to wait as long as they said was possible). They’ve helped me over the past with the passing of beloved pets and have always been so reassuring and understanding and made the sadness easier to bear.

  Worst experience I've ever had in my life I received 3 different answers from 3 different people with the same question if you don't understand the dog breed then just say that because that was ridiculous.. i had to drive back to my original vet and they solved the problem immediately...DO NOT GO HERE this was insane go to Banfield or Naperville this was a waste of time and they don't care about your pets it seems like from what I have read

  No one wants to have to visit the emergency vet at 1 in the morning. Unfortunately, this is what happened and I am incredibly grateful for the staff that was there. The only complaint is that there wasn’t a cot to sleep on while they cared for my dog lol I called in around 1 am and the woman who answered was kind, patient, and answered my questions, including general pricing, putting my mind at ease. Around 1:30, we arrived at VCA and were welcomed in, asked a few questions, filled out some intake forms, and my 14 old pup was lovingly taken up to the second floor for vitals and observation. For the next hour (but what felt like 4 lol) I read some issues of Ranger Rick, checked out the tea and coffee service area, and napped in like 3 different places. We were then put into a room where the vet came in and discussed options to ease the nausea and pain my dog was experiencing until I could get her to the vet the next morning. They were not pushy about procedures, they listened to me, and they allowed me to make informed decisions on my dog’s health care. I felt that I could trust them and was thankful to know that my dog wasn’t in need of immediate care, but that they helped her get through the night until her vet opened the next morning. The visit was covered through her Banfield plan, and the medications were reasonably-priced. In the past, an emergency vet trip for something minor seemed scary. I feel confident in having VCA Arboretum View close by on the evenings when I may not feel so confident about my pet’s health.
