This was our first visit to this location, and unfortunately, it will also be our last. The facility itself was very nice, and the staff at the front and the assistant were welcoming and professional. However, our experience with the doctor was extremely disappointing and completely overshadowed everything positive about the visit. The doctor Lisa did not introduce herself, did not make us feel welcomed, and showed very little compassion or patience toward our dog. Our dog is a Pit Bull/Lab mix, and before the appointment we specifically explained her behavior and temperament so the staff would know what to expect. We were reassured that everything would be fine. Instead, we left feeling as though our dog was being judged and treated differently. As pet owners, that is one of the worst feelings you can have when bringing your animal somewhere for care. We also made it clear that this first appointment was primarily for us to see how comfortable we felt with the facility, staff, and doctor before establishing long-term care. Despite that, the doctor had our dog step onto a platform without explaining that it would be raised and seemed prepared to move forward with vaccinations without first clearly discussing what was being administered, the treatment plan, or the cost. That lack of communication was unacceptable to us. No treatment should feel rushed or assumed, especially during a first visit. Pet owners deserve to understand what is being done and why before anything happens. The most disappointing part came when we expressed our concerns. Rather than listening, communicating professionally, or trying to make the situation better, the doctor became upset and told us that we should take our dog somewhere else. That response said everything we needed to know. We absolutely will take our dog somewhere else. We want a veterinarian who treats our dog with patience, respect, and compassion, and who treats us as owners like our questions and concerns matter. I was also very uncomfortable with the way the doctor spoke to and treated the assistant during our visit. A professional title does not give anyone the right to speak down to staff or make them feel less important. What makes this experience even more disappointing is that the rest of the staff was genuinely great. Unfortunately, the doctor’s attitude and lack of communication completely ruined the experience. I would especially encourage anyone with a Pit Bull, Pit mix, nervous dog, reactive dog, or any pet that may need extra patience to be very careful when choosing where to bring them. Every animal deserves to be treated with dignity and compassion, regardless of breed or temperament. We came in hoping to find a veterinary office we could trust for our dog’s long-term care. Instead, we left feeling judged, dismissed, and completely unwelcome. That is not the type of experience any pet owner should have at a veterinary clinic.

So this morning a received a text message when I called the hospital I had a rude uneducated women speak to me regarding my dog’s heart worm test needed to be updated I explained with my new work schedule and the fact I live way up north by the beach now The distance is to far so I will chrck mt records but I did take her to Vetco for the Heartworm test not to lomg ago and I will update ky records with VCA. I told her thank you and I will take her in to a closer location to my new home. if needed to be and because of this extreme weather I had to get off phone to use my asthma . She was very unprofessional, condescending towards me in the conversation. I normally speak to another later who picked up the call when I called back because as soon as I ended the call she canceled my dogs prescription for her Simprica Trio. This was intentional because I had to end the call. This was very disappointing because I have never had a bad experience at this Hospital. Very poor customer service skills and behavior towards a client. I asked to speak to the hospital director or supervisor but I was told she is not here today and I hope she gets back to me and speaks to this employee about her unacceptable attitude and behavior towards me this morning. I will be reaching out to speak to the clinical manager/director of this hospital if I do not hear from her.

My neighbor recommended this place and I do not know why. 30 minute wait even when you have an appointment. What’s the point of making an appointment then? You’re left in a tiny exam room with your anxious pet, all kinds of fur flying all over the place, just waiting and waiting and waiting… and its prices are similar to other places. Nice people and I gave it a try but it’s literally been a 30 minute wait every time I’ve been here. This is the last time. Up date today I waited 40 minutes. Never again I value my time.
