I was skeptical of a corporate versus mom and pop practice at first but these folks have been absolutely wonderful. Excellent care. They are wonderful with my dog (and my dog mom nerves) and very transparent on billing and pricing. Have multiple levels of care plans and are good at advising you which is best. Pleasantly surprised and overall delighted with everyone at this location <3

I was a VCA client for six years, but after my dog’s broken leg in February 2026, I decided to take my dog elsewhere. We felt strongly pressured to choose an expensive surgical repair over amputation, despite later learning from another veterinarian that a German Shepherd of her age only had about a 60% chance of a successful recovery with that procedure. Rather than feeling supported during an incredibly difficult decision, we felt rushed and pressured. While leaving the hospital that day, a staff member told us the phones would be turned off for two hours for a staff baby shower. Turning off the phones at an animal hospital for a non-emergency event seemed highly unprofessional - especially when my dog was in severe discomfort and pain. That evening, we called back to proceed with an amputation, only to be told the veterinarian who performs them was on call, wasn’t answering, and that we should call back in a couple of days. Our dog was in pain, and waiting days was simply not an acceptable option. We found another veterinarian who performed the amputation the very next day at a much more reasonable cost. The difference in compassion, urgency, and communication was remarkable. Not everyone at VCA was to blame—the front desk staff and many of the technicians were kind and caring. However, after six years as a client, this experience reinforced my long-standing impression that the practice prioritizes revenue over patient care. I can no longer recommend VCA based on my experience.

terrible experience here . vet tech was incredibly rude . i came in for an eye infection on my cat & mentioned i had a large dog at home which wasn’t even relevant and she accused my dog of attacking my cat , saying it looked like the dog attacked my cat ? (my dog wouldn’t hurt a fly) (i think i’d realize if it was a brutal animal attack ) again it was an eye infection. and then when i was explaining what food i feed my cat (not sure the relevance either) she accused me of feeding my cat dog food ? and was very rude and just condescending. i told the vet tech i had a kitten at home , to which she accused my kitten of having fleas (i assured her it did not) and looked disgusted with me ? told me she’d give the cat flea and tick meds , so i asked if it was necessary because i didn’t want to pay extra for things i didn’t come for , to which she responded by saying ‘ummm it’s free ?’ while giving me a judgemental side eye followed by a condescending laugh . i just wanted help for my kitty and you would think a professional buisness place would strive to make their customers feel welcome ! first time customer and i will never be returning , EVER ! all they do is try to upcharge you while being condescending the whole entire time. vet tech was a woman with shorter hair with blue in it. didn’t get a name. very disappointed with my experience. the vca in naperville is a much better friendly location alternative and not too far , worth the drive to avoid the condescending judgmental remarks and looks from staff !!
