This is absolutely outrageous! I took my cat to this clinic for two visits, and it ended up costing me nearly $600 in total. They told me that my cat had bladder stones and asked if we would consent to them collecting a urine sample for testing. For the sake of my cat's health, we agreed to their plan and left him at the clinic. When we returned to pick him up near closing time, I heard him let out a piercing, agonizing shriek—a sound I had never heard him make in his entire life. I simply cannot imagine what on earth they did to him! We subsequently confronted the veterinarian, but he claimed that my cat had attacked one of their doctors—even though my cat has never attacked anyone in his life. The doctor’s attitude was cold and indifferent; the entire experience left me feeling utterly shocked and outraged. Afterward, we took our cat to another clinic, where the doctors informed us that he didn't have any stones at all. Ultimately, we wasted $600 for nothing—my cat's condition barely improved, as they hadn't even managed to successfully collect a urine sample; had we actually proceeded with the follow-up tests they recommended, the total cost would have easily exceeded $1,000.

Very mixed emotions I guess . Been bringing my cat here since 2023, never complained about money even though I do feel like it’s expensive.. but recently brought my cat in because she has stones and can’t urinate properly. During pick up time I heard a cat ( my cat it turned out to be ) just screaming and yelling from the back . She’s never attacked anyone before . So since I wasn’t in the room I’m not sure what happened. I understand protocol when this happens but the vet was very harsh and kind of mean about how animal control will be contacting me . And that was the end of conversation. So instead of getting results or feeling like my cat my cared for , I feel the exact opposite and helpless now looking for a new vet . Update: I’ve got a second opinion, and she looks like she doesn’t have stones so I’m not sure what VCA seen or what but paid around 250 out of pocket but from the incident yesterday her new vet prescribed her anxiety medication . This taught me to just always get a second opinion to fully understand my cats health

My dogs and I absolutely love VCA Edgewood. The vets are knowledgeable and the kind of vets that you can tell really love and care for animals. The techs and assistants are equally as kind and knowledgeable. They can almost always get my pets seen the same day when something comes up. They don’t push for unnecessary tests or scans, only suggest them when needed and they always give options. The receptionists are always kind on the phone and in person. All around the people who work here are animal people and that means a lot to us. We love VCA!
