  Luke was very helpful and informative. Then guided me to another sales associate for a laptop. We were very satisfied with our experience at Best Buy in Ankeny.

  Best Buy is not a helpful company. If you buy an accessory for your electronics and it comes with a lifetime warranty, they wont tell you whether or not the generation of product is on its way out. They will often stop selling this product as soon as a new generation is out. And if you are unlucky enough for both of these things to happen to you, you'll have to gamble on whether the store even knows how to help. I was told that the store in Ankeny no longer carries the product i needed to replace via warranty and that the best bet is to give them the screen protector i need right now and wait 5 days for a new one to ship. This is a stunning example of corporate bottlenecking that makes Best Buy such an unfortunate experience to shop at. This wasnt the only option i was given, however. I was told that if i drive the West Des Moines Best Buy that they will likely have it. This marks the most frustrating part of dealing with this company that i experienced. When i tried to call ahead to confirm the item was in stock, i was met with an Ai chatbot repurposed as an answering machine. It was also about as helpful as asking questions to an answering machine, too, minus the part where someone might actually get back to me and help. I asked for human support at several piints in the call only to essentially be told that the Ai was going to be helping me find what human i need to be transfered to. Once I had worked through all possible means of circumventing this headache, i gave in and told this bot that i wanted to check stock availability for a product. I gave the name of the product and it told me that it is incapable of helping with phone related products and hung up on me. Best Buy as a corporate entity is foolish for thinking that an Ai is in any way helpful for answering phones and frankly should be ashamed of using such low quality garbage to "save time" when all theyre doing is waisting money on a fad thats going nowhere and tanking the economy as Ai regularly fails to provide useful feedback or work, only successful as a means of speculative investment to make billionaires have bigger numbers on their portfolios. Finally, i make my way to West Des Moines. What doni find? The only person helpful in any of these interactions, Craig, informing us that the product wasnt available at this store either. Craig, however, was a king among Best Buy workers because he at least told me how the warranty system actually works. See, Best Buy will honor the warranty on the products, but often its a warranty by the company that produces the item. He let me know that, with my receipt, i can go to the manufacturers website and request a product replacement. Finally, my questions had been answered! Frankly, im not too upset with any one employee at Best Buy. I do think, however, that the need for "INNOVATION" that every company strives for when their business model already works is the death knell of corporate entities and, if Best Buy doesnt turn around, i hipe to see them go the way of Circuit City.

  Went for a computer monitor. Left with nothing. Not because I didn't want to buy anything but because there was nobody to assist me whith my purchase. Went to Walmart and got assistance with my purchase 😭

  Probably time for a name change. LoL the employees know their stuff and they sell top quality top-of-the-line items. Decent price but definitely not the best price

  Very sweet young man followed me around the store and helped me by finding info, checked me out and even brought my items to the car. In a world of crazy…he was a highlight to my day. Thank you!
