The staff is super! My 11 year old XL Staffordshire terrier there to repair a ligament in her left knee. It's about a month in and she is doing great.

I want to thank Dr Goic and the staff. Unfortunately our dog sustained a life threatening condition. Dr Goic and the staff called us with an update every few hours and she let me and my wife see our girl every time we wanted to while she was in intensive. Dr Goic felt like she cared about our dog and had great bedside manner. Didn’t sugar coat anything and was kind and professional. Me and my wife were having the worst 4 days of our lives and having staff that was warm and comforting helped. Thank you Dr Goic. I do not know the names of rest of the staff that helped to save our dogs life, but I want to thank them too.

We lost our dog after bringing him to VCA Pearl City, and I want other pet parents to know what happened. He went in Monday morning after losing function of his hind legs and very lethargic. We were told we’d get updates, but no one called us for over five hours. During that time, he received no fluids, no pain meds, no supportive care. When I asked why, the doctor responded sarcastically and dismissively. Worst of all, we later learned from a vet tech — not the doctor — that our dog had aspirated multiple times and was left unmonitored for over an hour, covered in vomit and nasal discharge. We were never told. The doctor didn’t even tell us he had aspirated and developed pneumonia from doing so, even though she prescribed medication for it. She was ready to release him to our care, knowing he needed medical attention we could not provide at home. By the time we found out, it was too late. He needed oxygen and eventually ventilation. We made the heartbreaking decision to let him go Tuesday night. The overnight and Tuesday vets were wonderful, but the care on Monday failed our boy. Please be cautious and ask questions. I wish we had known.

I can’t say enough about how professional and caring the veterinary staff and physicians have been with our pup. I got frequent updates about her condition and clear discharge instructions which made me feel so comfortable with caring for her at home. Plus the front office staff worked with our Trupanion insurance which made the emergency so much less stressful for us.

Many thanks to VCA Veterinary Specialty- EMERGENCY Clinic! Your staff and Veterinarians are exceptional in the tough situations and critical care you manage each day. Every time I have brought my suffering furry friends to you, I watch and admire how you triage your patients and offer compassion to their humans. Yes, many times, there is a difficult wait but, it’s no different and… usually shorter than the hospital ER. Your immaculately clean waiting area made our wait much easier and comfortable. Kudos for exemplifying the superior care and concern throughout your facility. AND, YES… Kitty Moa is much better today, thanks to YOU.
