    I ordered a custom spec MacBook Air through Apple’s customer service and requested it be delivered to the Avalon store so that I could take advantage of an appointment pickup that included 30 minutes of setup at the “genius bar”. I left without the MacBook after an hour or so because there was no direct support from the staff. The genius bar was basically a couple of apple store employees trying to assist well over a dozen people; rotating between them. There was certainly no one on one support but for maybe 30 seconds at a time. Perhaps my expectations were too high, or I was led to believe there would be a short ‘sit down’ with someone to help me log in and familiarize myself with the product. The MacBook was almost $2k plus monthly subscriptions. I had a terrible experience. It really is disappointing because I still need a new laptop and was absolutely looking forward to this new MacBook. Shame on them for providing the exact opposite experience that many others enjoyed. They even stated that my 14 day return window started the day I placed the order and already had 13 days on the clock, so 1 day to evaluate. I would have left with the MacBook and tried to book an online session or returned to the store again with a 2nd appointment to get setup assistance but the team lead said he could extend that window but could not offer anything written, only a verbal ‘I got you’. Seriously disappointing. Buyer beware.

    I had a wonderful experience at the Apple Store thanks to a young man named Mahmood Abdulrahman. He noticed that I was unsure and trying to decide which phone to choose, and he kindly offered his help. He explained everything clearly and in a very friendly way, helping me understand the differences between the options and even calculated the payments for me. He was very attentive, patient, and genuinely pleasant to talk to. Employees like him truly make you want to come back to the store again and again. Thank you so much for such a great experience! ✨

    We are chronologically enhanced ie elderly. Elijah, I hope I have his name right...SO patient, kind and attentive to my issue with the phone! His patience ( vertigo was not helping me at all)! We moved outside so I could get my balance. He was so calm with my husband and I both and he eased our fears plus explained it all. I cannot recommend him enough along with Genious bar hiiring people such as him! SO grateful!!!

    I’ve been trying to purchase a new phone online through my carrier and through apple but because I’m trying to transfers lines and switch phones around I can’t proceed with the online purchase of it. I figured going in person & explaining the situation would make it easier and I couldn’t have gotten a more useless employee. She never told me her name, but dark skinned, curly haired female came off uninterested to help with a smart ass attitude and kept repeating exactly what I already told her needed to be done. In short I was trying to buy a phone & proceeds to tell me to order one after I told her I couldn’t. The previous customers also went in to purchase a phone and she told them to just go online and order one. If people go in person it’s for a reason, an AI agent would have actually resolved something and not waste my time
