Been a longtime Best Buy customer and have purchased MANY items from this store.
Today’s experience was yet another very disappointing experience.
I asked my attendant “Mgr” Colten, if he could help me out on the price, a little bit. He gave me a bunch of various options….. but none of which was a discount. (Purchase the 5 yr warranty, purchase the 2-yr Best Buy membership & they’ll give you a discount, free delivery etc)
I asked if he could call his manager over.
Manager came over and supposedly said $50 discount. Colten told me that that’s all he could do.
When I asked him to see the total, it was $4070. So I asked him if he could just make it an even $4000.
So he called the same manager over again. The manager came, they talked, and as he started to walk away, I said to him “Hey man. Thank you I appreciate your help.”
Colten then tells me that he couldn’t do anything better. And “I understand if you want to walk away.” I told him to just charge my credit card for the whole amount. He did.
After giving me the receipt, I said to him, “Now where is that manager? I want to give him a piece of my mind. “
As Coltens manager (Named Alec) starts walking to me, I said to him “Yea. Thanks. Thanks for nothing!”
He was taken aback and said he gave me $50 discount. I said
“Yea but in lieu of some past bad experiences I’ve had here, I was asking for an additional $70 off”
He said, “I don’t even know what you’re talking about.”
So I said to him, “let’s get you and Colten together because somebody here is lying.”
Turns out, Colten never even asked him.
Then Colten suddenly tells me that “we can have the TV install installed for free.”
I said, “Now you tell me this? I almost walked out of the store.”
I feel like I had been lied to several times.
Alec helped resolve the situation, and ended up giving me an additional $250 off when I had only asked for $70.
Thankfully, Alec stepped in and made the situation right.

Excellent Customer Service
I’m very satisfied with the customer service I received at Best Buy. The staff was professional, friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to take the time to answer all of my questions. They made the entire shopping experience smooth and stress-free without making me feel pressured.
I truly appreciate the excellent service and attention to detail. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely recommend Best Buy to anyone looking for helpful and professional customer service.
Alex the Meta Guy!!!! Omg can I give you 10 stars?! 😁 I wanted Meta glasses for my bday last week (Aug 3) and I had zero knowledge about them. Walked in and Alex to the rescue!! He knew EVERYTHING about Meta glasses (all the brands, all the features (good and bad) and was straightforward and talked to me like a normal person. 😁 He explained how to use it, the 5ws and helped me decide on which pair to purchase (I’m so glad I got the transitions), basically a TedTalk about Meta glasses and I was here for every minute!! Alex, thank you!!! I’ve used them at Epic already and they worked perfectly!!! You’re the best Alex!!

This was by far the worst experience I’ve ever had at Best Buy, and after many years as a customer, I’m seriously questioning whether I’ll ever shop here again.
I was buying a laptop as a gift for my niece. One salesperson clearly told me the store was offering 10% Rewards on purchases that day. A second salesperson then convinced me to apply for a Best Buy credit card, explaining that I would also be able to finance the purchase for 18 months. Those were presented as two separate benefits.
Based on that information, I agreed to a credit check and was approved for the card—something I had never planned to do. Only when it was time to pay did they suddenly tell me it was either the 10% Rewards OR the 18-month financing. That was never explained beforehand.
My brother heard the exact same conversation and understood exactly what I did. We both felt completely misled. I asked to speak with the manager, who admitted the employees had given us incorrect information but refused to honor what had been promised. The only compensation offered was a $20 Best Buy gift card, which did nothing to resolve the situation or restore my trust. By then, the entire experience had become embarrassing and frustrating, especially with my 82-year-old father visiting from Brazil.
To make matters worse, shopping at Best Buy has become exhausting. Years ago, you could walk in, ask about a product, buy it, and leave. Now you’re constantly pressured to sign up for memberships, Microsoft 365, protection plans, Geek Squad services, and other add-ons. Saying “No, thank you” once is never enough—you have to repeat it over and over. Customers should not feel harassed just to buy a laptop.
Best Buy needs to train its employees to provide accurate information and stop using aggressive sales tactics. Losing a customer’s trust is far more expensive than losing a single sale.

After a considerable amount of frustration speaking with the customer service call center, I went to my local store in Winter Garden, FL to not only pickup an item I ordered online but to hopefully get a refund for a recently purchased product that was now on sale. Sounds simple, right? Not for the call center.
Let me say that the dynamic duo of Dave and Khelsea immediately erased every ounce of frustration that I felt. Outgoing, professional, friendly, they listened to my issue, adjusted my account without ANY of the call center’s attitude.
Every business needs a Khelsea and Dave! Their energy was infectious! Their chemistry combined with their ability and determination to help is a rare combination. Best Buy…you’re in good hands! Me too!!!
