  Staff is friendly and accommodating. Doctors are thorough and spend appropriate amount of time as needed with my cat. Veterinary care is expensive here, but Buffalo Ridge appears to have average pricing for the market.

  I came for my first visit expecting the services advertised, but unfortunately, the experience did not match the advertisement. The stool test was not offered, and there was no first dose as advertised. Instead, the technician presented the insurance information and provided pricing for a possible care plan before I had even been evaluated by the doctor. I found this approach very disappointing. A patient should receive a proper evaluation by the physician before being presented with a care plan and its associated costs. Overall, I felt that my time was not respected and that the visit was focused more on insurance and potential costs than on the medical evaluation I came in for.The ladies at the front was very friendly that the only positive comment

  Had to put my long term cat to sleep. So caring towards both the cat and us. Even sent me a sympathy card. Awesome

  I travel 45 minutes to come here and it’s so worth it. I might pass 5 other Vet’s to come here, but it’s just worth it. They’ve taken very good care of my pets for an affordable price and they truly care about my fur babies.

  ⭐☆☆☆☆ ⭐☆☆☆☆ I am beyond disappointed with my experience at VCA Buffalo Ridge Animal Hospital. I called because I had concerns about my pet and needed guidance on getting her seen. This was not a major request. If the answer was simply, “Your pet needs to be seen by the doctor,” that would have been completely fine. Instead, I was treated rudely, my call was disconnected without explanation, and I was left feeling dismissed and upset. When I later spoke with the manager, Nicole, I was told that she had listened to the recording and that I had been “out of line.” I strongly disagree with that characterization. I was not rude or disrespectful. I was a concerned pet owner trying to get help for my animal. What is most upsetting is that it felt like there was more interest in arguing with me than in focusing on getting care for my pet. The entire situation felt unnecessary and petty. A simple conversation and an appointment could have resolved everything. I left the interaction feeling as though Nicole was trying to punish me over a disagreement rather than help my dog, and unfortunately, the one who suffered from that approach was my pet. Pet owners call veterinarians because they are worried about their animals and need help, not to be made to feel like an inconvenience or to be put in the middle of an argument. Because of how I was treated, I will be taking my pets elsewhere and have requested to end my relationship with this hospital. Beware: If you are looking for compassionate, customer-focused care during a stressful situation with your pet, this was not my experience.
