This was my first & last time visit to VCA.
I have had experience with amazing vets, and this was not one of them. When the vet came into the room, there was no hello, no acknowledging or being friendly with my cat… It was very mechanical. She only listened to my cat’s heart rate and that was it. I thought establishing a new patient and a wellness check was part of the routine. At least it is at other vet clinics I was shocked that there was no friendly vibe. The techs were exactly the same. Personally I have a cat who likes to run out the door every time the door is open and normally there would be a tap on the door by staff before they walk in so that you have a chance to make sure your Cat is not going to run out. The dogs share the same space so if my cat did run out, there would be dogs and I feel like that’s a very dangerous thing and was very surprised they do not consider that to be a possible issue.
They want you to use their specialty pharmacy which in my case for what my cat was prescribed was almost 3 times the cost. Anyway, there’s more but you get the idea. Not a good experience :(

My first experience with this clinic was to put my elderly cat down. I was able to bring her in 1 hour after I called. They were very compassionate and reassuring. They made the process as comfortable as it could be.

I was trying to see if this would be a good vet for my dog and new puppy, but the vet was very unfriendly with me and my dog. Won’t be returning.
