  I just left my father's sick kitty in their care and I must let the world know to look no further you have found the right place. Dr. Lago, Jessica and their entire staff is extraordinarily kind. Their friendly vibe is genuine! Jessica was such an absolute delight and when I met Dr. Lago her kindness moved me to tears!!! A special shout out to Leah & Mia who are extraordinarily sweet and bubbly!!! Keep up the Wonderful Work everyone!!!   We came in this morning for a 10:15 AM appointment — a genuine emergency. Our dog has bladder stones blocking his urethra and surgery scheduled for tomorrow. Our vet told us to find a Sunday facility if he showed signs of strain, which he did. We arrived on time to an empty waiting room. The front desk staff was kind and promptly moved us to an exam room. That’s where any semblance of care ended. We waited 40 minutes in that room without a single person coming to check on us — no technician, no vitals, nothing. We had to open the door ourselves just to see if anyone was around. Eventually, a new emergency arrived and we watched staff rush past our room to attend to it. I went to the front desk and was told a technician “should have already been there.” When I found another staff member in the hallway, she repeatedly told me to be patient because of the emergency — dismissing the fact that we had been waiting 40 minutes before that emergency even arrived. Her tone was condescending and showed zero empathy for an animal in pain. With no other vet available and no apology offered, we left and found another emergency clinic where our dog was treated immediately. I understand emergencies happen. What’s unacceptable is being forgotten, receiving no communication for 40 minutes, and then being spoken to as if we were the problem. We will not be returning.

  I got referred to VCA Knowles when I went with my friend to take care of his dog at VCA Knowles. When my dog Happy in 2024 sufferer two separate situations. Congestive heart failure and kidney problems. They helped me heal her back to health. It’s been two years and my dog is still alive and going to celebrate 15 years old soon. I’m very grateful for VCA Knowles

  I have six years of experience of taking my dogs to VCA Knowles and am finally throwing in the towel. They are chronically understaffed. It's common to need to wait an or two to see the vet. The confirmed error rate by the vets (errors pointed out later by other vets) is high. I think a lot of the vets are essentially interns; fresh out of school and with limited experience. VCA is a big corporation and I often get the impression that it doesn't have the correct management or incentive structure in place. Too many problems.

  I don’t understand the many negative reviews. I went here after calling numerous places looking for someone to euthanize my pet rat, Cheddar. I must have called 15 places and everyone was either dismissive or just so callous. As if my pet rat wasn’t deserving of kindness. Until I called VCA and spoke to Kenneth. He was so kind and understanding. And really made me feel like Cheddar and I were welcomed. I made an appointment. Everyone in that building was so wonderful, professional and caring. The Dr. treated Cheddar with so much care and respect. They comforted us on one of our worst days and made sure Cheddar was comfortable the entire time. I could never thank them enough. And then, if all that wasn’t enough, they sent me the most thoughtful letter along with Cheddar’s prints and a bottle of her fur. I have been to many vets but never to one as caring and warm as this. THANK YOU!!
