Went into the Lakeland store with an old Jitterbug phone, looking for an upgrade for a disabled veteran family member. Lykel - so professional, knowledgeable, and courteous - took the goal and the process in hand, made all the transfers work, even contacting Lively to make sure everything went smoothly to completion. Lykel is an outstanding employee and provided terrific service!

The salesman will literally lie to you about things they don’t know or have control over (Citibank accounts) then leave you with no access to your old account ( since they opened a new one without dissolving the old one although they claimed that’s what was going to happen in order to have an up to date card). Well turns out they just locked me out of my old account leaving me unable to pay it off by using the personal info for the new account. Therefore my credit took a hit thanks to a salesman and manager in the appliance department claiming they were going to do something and never did it or notified me of not being able to do it. Not to mention the new card was shipped to who knows where so for over a month I had no account number or card to handle my payments. When you call Best Buy they send you to citibank , when you call citibank they claim Best Buy never did their part. Long story short , they are under qualified, manager included since he approved of it in front of us, and will say anything to get the sale. I’ve lost over 10 hours on the phone with citibank over the last 5 months trying to resolve something caused by this location. Still ongoing to this day.

Pro:: Don in the Lakeland location did an amazing job helping my Husband and I . Keep up the great work . He went over and beyond . Ask for Don he’s the only one that seems to know that he’s at work and willing to help anyone .
Con: I don’t know why but every time I step foot in this location I feel like I’m being watched from the time I walk in to the time that I walk out !!!! 🙄🙄. Idk why they look so hard and they have a million and 1 cameras in store and parking lot !!! Security did not even speak . I don’t like when I’m going to spend my money and people act like I’m bothering them or don’t feel welcomed. I just could not force myself to buy meta glasses and Apple Watch 2 of each with that type of care .

I've been a loyal customer since I was a teenager.. about 20 years. I bought a Sonos soundbar over my lunch break. As soon as I got back to work I realized I left a personal item at the register. I called and spoke with an AI answering service. Eventually, I was connected with a live agent who said "There is no way to contact the store. We won't check for you. That is our policy." I went to the store the next morning. No one knew what I was talking about. Nothing in lost and found. The manager, James, told me "That must be frustrating, but we aren't able to take calls. Yes, sometimes that causes issues. You have to understand." Yes, I understand. A cost saving process was implemented, and occasionally it costs someone. And when it does, it's the customer who pays, not the store. He didn't even offer to make it right, "How much was the loss?" "What can we do to make it right?" etc. I'll be returning the soundbar as my last interaction with Best Buy.

We walked in looking for information and walked out with a computer set up that works for our needs. We were paired with Chad in the computer department, and he was AMAZING. He answered all of our questions, looked up reviews, and showed us as many options as we wanted so we could be sure we were making the right investment. His personality and patience were highly professional, and I am so glad we met him that day. He used his own experience with certain technology to assist with guiding us to the correct brands, and he was not pushy at all.
I cannot speak more highly of Chad, and I hope your company realizes the rare individual you have working in your store. I also hope he is compensated as such, because you can't afford to lose him.
I'm a 20 year customer service veteran myself, and it was nice given the level of service we used to get before technology took over and everyone got lazy.
After multiple attempts to contact store leadership through the phone number online, the 1800 number for Best Buy, and even their chat, I certainly hope that Chad gets the recognition he deserves. I was unable to locate a member of leadership on our way out the door, and figured it would be easier to just give them a quick call. Boy was I wrong. The AI "assistant" on their ridiculous phone system assisted me by hanging up because it refused to put me through. I understand that store staffing may be reduced these days, but there were PLENTY of people in that building that could have answered the phone. I was also unable to leave a review directly on Best Buy's website, so here we are.
