Awful just awful I went in to get my cat examined and help with anxiety and a possible rabies vaccine I was told to drop her off and pick her up at 4pm. I went in at 4pm and was put in a room and waited a total of 50 minutes with no news. Then a vet assistant came in to tell me her diagnosis without the vet and they microchipped and provided her the rabies vaccine without calling me first. She was provided an over the counter medication for anxiety that never worked twice and it was way cheaper on amazon then whht they sell it for. I was then told to bring her in again for another exam and repay even though they had her an entire day to see what they could prescribe for her anxiety. Crooks.... She had an eye allergy they didnt even acknowledge or let me know whether or not if it was normal or she needed medication for. Also the vet assistants were so scared to even put her back in the carrier as if they've never dealt with a cat. DO NOT TAKE YOUR ANIMAL THERE! I am not that apprehensive about places but this was by far the worst, I wish someone would've told me!! Save yourself the trouble, there are plenty of other places in jacksonville!! I miss VCA Briarcliff in Southside they were way more hospitable and welcoming.

They used to be the best caring about just the pet. My dog who will always have seizures will no longer be treated by them cause thier new Dr prioritizes money over pets life. If my dog was gonna have to come in for a review on meds yall told me he was gonna have to take for his whole life. Maybe yall should have told someone prior to 5 days before his meds ran out. The new Dr will be the reason this location runs down. Its a shame the lady that worked there that loved animals is gone. Also they was gonna fill it sorry I forgot then called back 1 hr before they closed and said the new dr changed his mind. Proceeding to half hearted apologize. I lost alot of sleep last night worrying about my dog while the manager told vca ya im changing things we will be rich. Pos

Over a month ago Dr. Martin was in charge of removing the stitches from my dogs enucleation. Since finding my dog a new vet, I’ve noticed a skin tag near his eyelid that I thought he was just irritating every now and then since it would look raw and bleed slightly. After his first appointment at his new vet, the doctor told me that he still has a stitch left in his eyelid that has been trying to heal itself. The removal of the stitch won’t be as easy as it originally was due to the skin trying to grow over it. I think this shows a lack of attention to detail that a doctor is responsible for. I considered that maybe the doctor left it for a reason, and even if that was the case, I was never informed that he still had a stitch in his eyelid. I love the tech, reception and kennel staff from this location, but I’m very disappointed in the quality of care that was provided by the doctor, as attention to detail and proper care is one of the most important parts of the job.

The personnel was very pleasant and professional. I did not require a vet but the woman in reception was very helpful and had a sincere concern for my dog. I just relocated here and she helped me identify my rescue's age and breed and for my own edification did a free chip reading. I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received on my very first visit. LIFE WITHOUT A DOG IS EMPTY!
