  It’s truly an honor to be able to write this review! If you love animals, this story will touch your heart. For the past seven-plus years, we’ve had the incredible privilege of being parents to the most wonderful shelter cat imaginable. Like many rescue pets, our little guy came with a few challenges, but we wouldn’t have traded a single moment with him. As first-time pet parents, we had so much to learn. We wanted to give our furry baby the happiest, healthiest life possible, and from the very first day we brought him home, the staff at VCA Bristol became trusted partners in that journey. They have cared for our sweet boy throughout every stage of his life, always taking the time to answer our questions, explain our options, and treat him with genuine kindness and compassion. Over the years, they have provided exceptional preventive and routine care, while also guiding us through some of the most frightening moments we've ever experienced as pet parents. When our kitty faced two life-threatening emergencies, the team at VCA Bristol worked hand in hand with the outstanding emergency specialists at VCA West Hartford to ensure he received the care he needed. Thanks to their collaboration, expertise, and unwavering dedication, we were blessed with precious extra time with our beloved little guy—time we will cherish forever. Every person we have met at VCA Bristol, from the receptionists to the veterinary technicians and doctors, has treated both our cat and our family with warmth, patience, respect, and genuine compassion. Their commitment to their patients extends far beyond medicine—they truly care about the families who love them. If you're looking for a veterinary hospital where your pet will be treated like family, I simply cannot recommend VCA Bristol highly enough. They have been there for us through every milestone, every worry, every celebration, and every challenge. They are a remarkable team of professionals and truly a credit to their profession.   You can tell when people genuinely care, and that’s exactly how my visit with Astro felt. Dr. Splawski was calm, thorough, and treated him like more than just another appointment. Litza took her time showing me how to give his medication without ever making me feel rushed, and Shelly and Sally welcomed us with such kindness that it immediately eased my nerves. Astronomy even left with a toy that he’s already carrying everywhere. If you have a pet that’s a little timid—or if you’re the anxious one walking through the door—this is a team that makes you feel comfortable from the moment you arrive. Thank you all for taking such great care of my best friend.
