  I would never recommend this veterinary office to anyone after what happened to my dog. On Saturday, I brought my dog in because he had completely stopped eating. As any pet owner knows, that’s a serious symptom that deserves prompt attention. The clinic performed bloodwork, sent us home, and told us they would call on Monday with the results. We never received that Monday call. On Sunday, before we heard anything about the bloodwork, my dog went into an Addisonian crisis. We rushed him to another emergency veterinary hospital, but despite their efforts, he passed away. Today is Wednesday, and the original veterinary office finally called to see how my dog was doing. I had to tell them that he had died days earlier. I also asked for the bloodwork results, and unbelievably, they still didn’t have them to share. The lack of communication, follow-up, and urgency surrounding my dog’s condition was incredibly disappointing. When a pet stops eating and bloodwork is ordered, owners depend on timely results and proactive communication. Instead, we were left waiting while our dog’s condition rapidly deteriorated. Losing a beloved pet is heartbreaking. Having to explain to the veterinary office that he had already passed away—and then finding out they still didn’t have the bloodwork results several days after the tests were performed—made an already devastating situation even more painful. One of the most heartbreaking parts of this experience is what we learned from the emergency veterinarian. We were told that our dog’s underlying condition was Addison’s disease and that, once diagnosed, it is a very treatable and manageable condition. Knowing that has left us devastated and wondering whether earlier communication of the bloodwork results could have given our dog the opportunity to begin treatment before he went into an Addisonian crisis. We will never know the answer, but that unanswered question has made our loss even more painful.

  I have had consistent contact with both my veterinarian and the staff throughout my experience. I cannot express enough how important the one-on-one communication with the clinic has been, whether reviewing test results or discussing anything else. I trust them fully. They truly understand the family dynamic.

  I have been going here for 15 years. Always an outstanding experience since and continuing with the current doctors and staff! They truly care for the pet’s health.

  Dr. Estep is truly amazing! Her level of care and expertise is incredible. She goes out of her way to explain multiple options so that the care she provides fits you and your pet. Our mastiff mix Gus is always nervous at vet visits, but Dr. Estep always finds ways to calmly provide care. She is so sweet with him. When we had a pretty serious health scare this past year, she helped us find an affordable and practical way to diagnose the issue. Highly recommend Dr. Estep, she adds so much to this local VCA clinic. I’d follow her anywhere!
