The staff were incredible in helping me and my cat in an emergency situation. As soon as I walked through the door there were people already there ready to take my baby back. The woman working the front desk (I did not catch her name but I spoke to her on the phone as well) was incredibly compassionate and brought me a lot of comfort. The doctor was very personable and kind. I really appreciated how much care they put into their service and they made sure my baby was okay. The price for the emergency vet care we received was a lot more reasonable than I expected as well. I highly recommend and thank the kindness of the staff in supporting us in a really scary moment. My sweet kitty is doing okay thanks to them!

I would like to recognize two exceptional veterinarians at Alameda VCA in Denver, Colorado: Dr. Kopf and Dr. Millar. We first met Dr. Kopf in February to establish care for my dog Pierre's neurological condition. During his neurological exam, she noticed he wasn't breathing normally and immediately took the time to evaluate and care for him, even though it was outside the scope of the appointment. She made us feel as though we were her only patients, and that level of compassion and attentiveness is truly exceptional in a time when so many appointments feel rushed.
Dr. Millar is an incredible, life-saving veterinarian. We live in southern Colorado, and unfortunately Pierre had to visit the emergency room twice because of his complex medical issues. The second time, he was transferred to Alameda VCA, where Dr. Millar and the team provided outstanding care that ultimately saved his life.
Today, Pierre is playful, happy, and back to doing one of his favorite things—chasing our cats around the house. I can't thank Dr. Kopf and Dr. Millar enough for the skill, compassion, and dedication they showed. Because of their exceptional care, Pierre has the quality of life he deserves, and our family is forever grateful.

We cannot say enough good things about this clinic. Initially, we had only used the emergency/after hours services. We had initially brought our dog in for a small injury several years ago, and they were helpful-- but our dog had a seizure past month and we worked closely with the emergency and neurology team, and they have been amazing. They take the time to answer any and all questions we have and have been so helpful. The front desk staff are also kind and understanding. We had such a good experience that we now plan to transition our care here long term.

Dr. Mason with Internal Medicine has been outstanding. After nearly three years of trying to determine the cause of/establish an effective treatment plan for my Husky mix’s chronic nasal disease, this was one of the most reassuring and productive appointments we’ve had.
While VCA is certainly not inexpensive, the level of care you receive makes it well worth the visit. I never once felt rushed or like Dr. Mason was trying to get through the appointment because he had a waiting room full of patients. He spent as much time with us as we needed, thoroughly reviewed Dante’s history, explained his thought process, and answered every question we had.
What impressed me most was how well prepared he was before we even walked through the door. He had clearly reviewed Dante’s records in detail and had even researched potential treatment options and current studies ahead of our appointment. It was obvious he came in with a plan rather than trying to figure things out during the visit.
His approach was exactly what I was hoping for: honest, practical, evidence-based, and reassuring without being dismissive or alarmist. He explained what he thought was most likely, what was less likely, what additional diagnostics could and couldn’t tell us, and helped us develop a logical, cost-conscious plan instead of recommending unnecessary testing. I left feeling informed, reassured, and like we finally had a clear direction.
As an added bonus, Dante was about as relaxed as he ever gets at the veterinarian, which is really saying something. Dr. Mason and the vet tech were calm, patient, and interacted with him in a way that genuinely put him at ease.
I’ve also utilized VCA’s emergency services in the past and had the exact same experience. Every member of the team has been kind, compassionate, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in their patients. I truly appreciate Dr. Mason and the entire VCA team for the exceptional care they’ve provided. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them to anyone looking for specialty/emergency veterinary care.

DONT GO HERE! Not even worth the 1 star. When they learned I had pet insurance they started running up my bill every 3 days, you had to pay or treatment stopped for my dog. My bill reached 50k of which pet insurance covered all but 14k out of my pocket. My dog was put through hell with treatments and tests that never showed her illness until they destroyed her kidneys. Also, the intensive care room had no AC and was so hot making it very uncomfortable to visit my dog or even for a dog that is sick to be in that room. Drs and staff were very rude and showed lack of empathy. When I had to make the decision to let her go, the Dr handled the euthanasia process very poorly. The Iv popped out of the vein and I have no idea how much she had gotten and suffered before finally passing. This haunts me every day of my life. This facility should be investigated by the board of veterinary medicine.
