The new vet Dr. Savacool saw my large dogs for their yearly exam. I always hold my dogs while they are getting their ears checked. This vet being new & young should ask the owners before starting the exam, to hold their dogs because it makes the animal much more comfortable when the owner holds the dog, not the vet tech assistant they do not KNOW the dog like the owner does before starting the exam. She did not ask, and just grabbed my dog moving too fast and neurotic like.
She has no experience with large dogs, and has no business seeing them because she's scared of them. So when I went in today to get a rabies vaccine, the vet Savacool put in my dogs chart that she needed sedation. And I said she does not, but I brought my muzzle if that would make the tech
more comfortable. And the tech said no I couldn't use my muzzle I had to use there's. I said that's not going to happen. So they refused to give my dog a rabies vaccine.
After spending around $3000 on my 3 animals in the last year at this VCA in Yucca Valley, that was uncalled for and so unprofessional!
Have more consideration for the larger dogs owners. I've always held my own animals while the vet checks ears & temperature.
And let your in inexperienced new Veterinarians like Savacool learn that !!!!

Mercedes, in particular, stood out but not in a good way. She came across as an exceptionally unpleasant, arrogant trust-fund type, with the kind of detached superiority that suggests everyone around her exists to be tolerated, not respected. Her listening skills were poor, and she had a way of shifting the atmosphere and making even the people around her, including the doctor, seem uneasy and anxious. It was the kind of tension you can’t quite name, but you feel it in your bones.
What struck me most, though, was my animal's reaction. This is an animal who has been through trauma and still offers love to every stranger, tail wagging, eyes bright. With Mercedes? Not even a growl. Just pure withdrawal. He turned his face away from her the way animals do when they sense something deeply off. I’ve learned to trust that instinct. We left as quickly as possible and found another vet. One whose warmth doesn’t feel like it needs to be pried out from under a mask.
I hope Mercedes is able to work in a setting more suited to her temperament—perhaps something that doesn’t involve living creatures with emotional needs.

We took our pup for an exam and blood tests. Very friendly, efficient and knowledgeable people here. They treated us and our dog very well. The waiting room is very spacious and clean. Cannot recommend this place enough!!!

Took my puppy first time there and no one greeted me when I walked in. I felt like I do something wrong very awkward feeling. They saw I hard a hard time getting my new puppy in and out of the clinic and no one helped me. I had to ask for my stuff that I left on the counter cause I had my hands full with my puppy. The front office and the tech were not very nice or welcoming. I felt like I was
Inconveniencing them by just being there. I won’t be going there anymore. I don’t recommend them at all.
