  During my recent visit I left with my dogs face cut up by their clinic cat. I brought my dog in and told staff that she is reactive and to be careful with her, but when she was brought to the back to get her vaccines the clinic cat was in the procedure room. My dog reacted, and the cat scratched her face causing her to bleed. Seeing blood on my dogs face after I trusted your staff devastated me especially after the fact I WARNED THEM about her reactivity. I communicated with Manager Rachel, and I feel that things did not get resolved because I was told this was a rare occurrence and the cat is usually kept elsewhere. I don't understand why a cat would be loose when there are reactive pets coming in and out of the clinic. I was told that the short lead policy would be implemented but my dog was on a leash so that doesn't address my concern at all. I was also told that there would be a place for Kendra outside of the area, but that's exactly the problem. She already HAD a place outside the area when my dog was injured. That doesn't solve anything at ALL! I did not feel there was real accountability taken here or a clear plan put in place to prevent something like this from happening again. I'm deeply disappointed at how things were handled and I will NOT be returning in the future.

  They saved my dog's life by identifying a respiratory infection that was spreading and ensuring my boy had the correct care. If you're in West Sac with pets - just go check it out already.

  Dr Reese was very nice. The staff were nice, I came on the wrong day but they were still able to work me in. I was not happy about checkout. I stated and signed the specific things I was going to pay for. I asked to not add the Revolution as I was going to get my own. They still added it. Yes I could of said no, but I took it anyway because they had already bagged it. They need to listen to the clients needs and wants and not try to add stuff that was not approved.

  Dr Laura Winemiller was sooooooo great. We took our 17 year old chihuahua Iggy to see her with an urgent issue a few days ago, and we've been talking about how much we loved Dr Winemiller ever since. She was so kind and understanding, and worked out the care plan with us with so much heart and love and realism for our options. We were nervous going in, but it ended up being so seriously different than our previous vet experiences. We'll go out of our way to see Dr Winemiller for Iggy and any other pets we have going forward. VCA prices were very fair for this urgent issue, and scheduling is super easy on the website - we only ended up with Dr Winemiller because when we checked at midnight, out of all the local VCAs, she happened to have an opening listed in the AM, which meant I could avoid an urgent/emergency fee while having him seen just as quickly! Convenience alone made this visit worth it, but Dr Winemiller made it even better for us and Iggy.
