  My cat Arrow and I went to VCA in Van Nuys for the first time. We moved here recently and we needed a vet to renew his Hills C/D food prescription. Our experience was beyond any expectations. We were thrilled with the service we received, Arrow is difficult during vet visits because he's a wild free spirit and when he feels out of his comfort zone he becomes very aggressive, very quickly. Dr Viete was very patient and made sure Arrow was comfortable throughout the entire consultation. She had great listening skills and made recommendations based on Arrow's needs, without overselling anything. I would recommend VCA in Van Nuys to anyone looking for an exceptional veterinarian service. I will definitely take my other cats here when time comes and will recommend friends and family. Thank you Dr Viete and staff.

  I scheduled exam appointments for both of my cats weeks ago. Over the past three days, I called VCA five different times trying to confirm the appointments, but no one answered. I called three times again today and was finally able to get through, only to be placed on hold. When someone finally answered, I was told that both of my appointments were still being held. Just five minutes later, I received a call saying that one of my appointments had actually been GIVEN AWAY to someone else. This was only hours before my scheduled appointments. I then asked to be called if something opened up today and was rudely hung up on. Extremely unprofessional and rude.

  Dr. Christy Dougherty and staff were kind, caring and very knowledgeable to our kitty cats needs. She and they went well above and beyond for the care of our female feline. Dr. Dougherty, is the absolute best Veteranarian hands down we have ever encountered for any of our animals, she's 'AWESOME'. I suggest taking all of your animals in need of anything to her and her staff for treatment of any sort. Thank you for your help Doc. you're 'AMAZING'!!

  I really like the veterinarians at this place, but their front desk is awful. I have never had such a bad experience before. Nobody ever answers the phone, you are constantly on hold, and it is difficult to make appointments. They really need to hire more staff and train them better. Everything seems like a burden. My dog was out off flee meds and they denied his refill request. No notifications for it none. Dog ended up getting flees next appointment is too far away and now i got dog with flees! I asked if they can approve request of the same meds he has been on for years before the visit so he doesn’t suffer (since appointment is booked anyway). Supervisor said no. The dog will be with flees because they can’t pick up the phone, call back, let the person know the refill request was denied. They only care for the money vs the pet. Very disappointing. It’s such a shame because they have great veterinarians. I really hope the management sees this and takes action. Very stressful.

  This veterinary hospital is the best place to have your animals treated. My fist time I made a appointment to have my cat checked out that he was not doing so good, then I took Gigi and they took him in right away their response was very fast and they find out that he was in critical condition about to die he ha d bladder infection and kidney stones the cat need it surgery right away so the Manager Alex he help me with my difficult financial situation Ian great full and was able to adjust all cost and went be on he’s service . . I hardly recommend this place The staff is very kind and help on any kind citation you pet is in . Again thank you very much Alex the Manager that came true on GiGi emergency went beyond in the citation and Save my Gigi life. I give this place 10+star
