So nice! I’d rather pay 60$ for the one part that needed fixing and it only took him about 15 minutes.

This service center has had my machine for about 3 months. They took about a month to diagnose the problem and another month to do the repair, and it has now been nearly 3 weeks since submitting payment for said repair while on the phone with Dyson corporate. I have not received an update, nor have I received my repaired machine.
Dyson corporate customer support has confirmed they received my payment on July 27 but that the service center claims otherwise. Corporate emailed them and encouraged me to contact the service center directly, which I have repeatedly attempted to do during service hours, to no avail. Probably the worst repair experience of any device to date. If I do not receive my repaired machine in a reasonable time frame (within 1 month of payment is fair, right?), I will have to contest with credit card. So very disappointed with the experience. 2 months for a repair is reasonable but 3+ is WILD.
Edit to the owner: I HAVE already called Dyson support multiple times, and they have ALREADY emailed you, the service center, to release my machine to me. Maybe try checking your messages from Dyson corporate.

I took my v10 (out of warranty) in to the service center this morning because the trigger was not turning on the machine. I had googled this issue and it seems that the trigger breaking is a common problem. The service center rep explained that the parts are expensive, and that we (he was addressing a couple of us) would have to keep replacing parts, so it might be better to get a new machine. I asked about the cost for the part (the cyclone/motor assembly) and he threw out a range that was significantly higher than the price I saw online. When I asked about this he then said it would be whatever price was online. In addition he explained that it would cost $25 for them to just look at it. Overall it seemed like he was pushing for buying a new machine.
When I asked about if they had the part in stock, he then started discouraging me from buying that - saying I was taking a risk, there could be other things wrong, that the part might not fix the problem (although the part is basically the heart of the machine as it contains the motor), and that there is a 30 day return policy BUT that the policy would be invalid if I tried to use that part. He said that if I even attached the part and tried to turn it on or use it then I would not be able to return it. Why even have a return policy??? I asked about the warranty on the part, and he made sure to call out that it was a one time warranty, so that if it was faulty and they replaced it, then that would be the extent of the warranty and I would not be able to warranty it again. What if I got two faulty parts in a row??? SO RIDICULOUS.
I would NOT recommend going here if your machine is out of warranty! Not helpful at all - I found way more information from google/reddit than from the rep (NO information or guidance whatsoever about the actual problem from him), and even the support chat rep on the Dyson site was more helpful. Don't waste your time and gas!

I had a very disappointing experience with Dyson’s repair service in Union City.
After only a few months of using my Dyson vacuum, it stopped working. Unfortunately, I didn’t have the opportunity to get it repaired right away, so it ended up sitting unused for over a year. When I finally brought it to the Dyson repair center in Union City, I was charged a $25 diagnostic fee and then quoted an additional $150 for the repair.
I asked if there was any possibility of a discount, considering the vacuum had failed after only a short period of use, but the representative immediately said no without offering any assistance or alternatives.
For a premium brand like Dyson, I expected better customer service and more support for a product that failed so quickly. Instead, I left feeling disappointed with both the repair costs and the lack of customer care. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Dyson’s repair service.

Dyson is jacking up their prices for service that used to be free. They now charge $25 just to tell you what is wrong with your Dyson. Their service center seems to be poorly stocked. Several customers were turned away due to lack of parts availability and told to return in 2 weeks. Dyson used to do a better job taking care of the customers who buy their products. Disappointing experience.
