  It was our first visit to VCA Almaden. I felt that nurses and staff members genuinely cared about my puppy. Thank you for caring. We will definitely be back.

  What a joke this place is. I adopted a kitten and received a free exam so I used my free exam certificate at this location. Although my kitten came spayed micro chipped and tested and treated for worms she insisted I get her tested (Well of course its 130.00 in their pocket) I do the test and I hear nothing. So I call and ask about the results because its been a whole week and they say oh the doctor assigned to read the results hasn't been in. We will assign someone else. No apology for the mix up. Isnt it your job to ensure a test result is assigned to someone that will be in the building in a 7 day time frame! I had to chase you guys down just to get you to realize that the doctor's been out and you should have assigned it to somebody that is actually working. Guaranteed I won't receive a follow up. Ive already gotten both my cats to a different vet. Thanks for nothing! ✌️

  It was really disappointing ,my kitten’ first time visiting there I accepted the suggested plan without being advised that it would be non refundable . I paid 430 $in cash and 134 $ on my card .after realizing the set up payment plan was not the way I had understood I called the hospital many times to try to resolve it I was told my options were essentially to cancel and loose the extra money I paid or continue with them and accept whatever the plan is . What really disappointed me most was the lack of empathy and willingness to help find a reasonable solution .i understand that there may be limitations in the system but I felt unheard and frustrated by the management . Please make sure u don’t accept any plan unless knowing its consequences and the regulations or u get stuck with them !

  I brought my kitten in today for his first appointment at this veterinary office. Unfortunately, I arrived approximately 9–10 minutes late due to unexpected traffic and a car accident. I completely understand that arriving late may mean an appointment needs to be shortened, and I would have been understanding of that. However, I was disappointed by how the situation was handled. I was told by an assistant that she needed to speak with the veterinarian to determine whether the doctor was still willing to see my kitten. She returned and told me, “No, sorry, she said that she wants to leave on time today.” I was told the veterinarian’s name was Dr. Dore Pei by Olivia. While I understand that veterinary staff have schedules and personal time that need to be respected, I was disappointed that there did not seem to be any willingness to accommodate the situation, particularly since the delay was caused by circumstances outside of my control. This was my kitten’s first visit, and I was hoping to establish a long-term relationship with a veterinarian I could trust. Unfortunately, this experience left me feeling that the schedule was prioritized over the patient. I ultimately decided not to proceed with the appointment. I’m glad I experienced this before establishing care, as I would prefer a veterinary practice that demonstrates both professionalism and compassion toward its patients and their owners. I will not be returning and will be looking elsewhere for my kitten’s veterinary care.

  This place is the absolute worst! My husband and I brought our cat here because he has been losing weight rapidly. We drove from Morgan Hill because I had heard good things about this location. They ran some standard tests and we had to hound them about the results. It took almost a week for the vet to contact us back to tell us she believes has a bladder infection. This is a serious health issue with cats and their health will deteriorate rapidly if not started on antibiotics. The vet will not return our calls or write a prescription for our cat! We’ve been calling and calling trying to get him follow up care and we’ve gotten every excuse as to why she won’t contact us. I’ve never experienced this level of neglect with any veterinary office in my entire life. It’s a nightmare! We asked for the test results and got emailed a bill for what other tests they want to perform and it’s so ridiculous. Basically if you don’t agree with all the additional crazy expensive tests they want to perform on your pet, they wont help your fur baby. We wasted precious time on VCA Almaden only for them to play a game at the cost of our cat. Avoid this place! It truly has been a nightmare. Save your pets life and find another clinic. These people are heartless and greedy.
