Awful. Sat for 6 hours without even being seen. Despite multiple “we’re waiting on the doctors” it seems my case wasn’t critical enough to get their attention. Then I was told they were short techs not doctors (which was it?). I watched multiple other “referrals” come in from other doctors who seemingly were whisked ahead, despite being referred here from our vet. I’d recommend driving anywhere else

AMAZING CARE. WARNING: DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE. I am siting reading 1 star reviews—dumbfounded. I am SO grateful that my service lab did not get care at this crematorium. This is the RIP factory. You will pay 20k to lose your pet that was hardly sick. You won’t get information, phone calls, apologies. But you will get a quote that is not accurate and then risk your entire financial future. You will never get an invoice or your best friend back. See the 1 star reviews—RUN—it may look clean and professional. I had blood splatter in my exam room, but also that’s on stealing your money. Anyone who has lost a pet or had a bad experience with a pet, prices, or a specific team member—I will reach or via email. I will publish public communication form their corporate team and about my experience, but right now—there’s far more important things to do. This hospital needs to be taken out of the VCA network and brand. Carol Horn and Amy Nadolski—need some external reviewing. They are all extremely suspicious and now they are going to have to face the consequences and answer the questions asked in all these horrifying reviews.

All the staff from reception, technicians and doctors that cared for Bowzer were exceptional. I was able to comfort him when he was in a “bed” in ICU before Dr. Casal talked to me. She was very thorough with possible explanations for Bowzer’s health scare. Dr. Casal called me twice on test results that night, one that was a false reading and the next which was less alarming. I appreciated being kept abreast at all times after I got home. Dr. Chin gave me progress updates in the morning around 5 am and 6 am and was fortunate enough to also meet her in person on Bowzer’s second night of stay. She was even able to have me see for myself how Bowzer could walk when we took him for a weight check. Finally, Dr. Kaelble who was also very thorough reiterating possible causes and conferring with neuro and rule out the need for an MRI. She provided me with information that confirmed she had his best interest in mind. Even talked to me about Bowzer’s progress for each of my visits with Bowzer as I sat with him in his bed with an IV on. I would highly recommend this ER which is one of the reasons I am also writing this lengthy review to confirm this is an exception 5+ stars facility and staff.

These guys are amazing. I found Max’s holistic vet here who helped me transform his health. Max was suffering from low grade nausea, IBD, and BVS. During an ER visit, Dr. Sands was the attending and saw us that morning. She planted the seed. Because of her approach and treatment, Max is thriving now. This VCA is large and very clean. They are expensive but you get what you pay for. They do outstanding work and everyone is super friendly and helpful. I would absolutely recommend them. Just like any ER visit, you may have to wait to be seen. However, they don’t leave you high and dry. If your pet is suffering, they will do what they can while you wait. Max was given an anti nausea shot while we waited to see the doctor and it helped while we camped out in the waiting room for the 6am vet to come in.

I hate having to write this because the women at the front desk were kind and compassionate. Unfortunately, our experience with the doctor was very disappointing. We spent over $3,200 on diagnostics alone, and the bill was filled with expensive add-on charges that quickly drove up the cost. If you're bringing your pet here, ask for an itemized estimate and make sure you understand every test and consultation before approving treatment. What it felt like was that they will bill you for anything and everything at a high premium and take advantage of your emotional state. We left feeling blindsided by the final bill. What was most upsetting was how quickly euthanasia was brought up before we had the opportunity to fully explore other options. Absolutely sickening when your pet is still eating and drinking. I understand emergency veterinary care is expensive, but I hope this review encourages other pet owners to ask questions and fully understand the costs before moving forward. I would highly recommend going elsewhere.
