  Best Buy is usually a great place to shop and the deals are hard to beat, but my experience with Bruce at the Geek Squad section was frustrating. I asked twice about getting AppleCare+ on my devices. Both times he explained that diagnostics would need to be run first, which was completely reasonable, so I handed over the devices with no issue. For the Apple Watch, he spent several minutes silently staring at it, then drifted off to help another customer who had just walked up. Eventually diagnostics were run, but the interaction mostly turned into trying to sell me replacement watches instead of clearly helping me understand repair or coverage options. What really made no sense was the phone situation. After already explaining that diagnostics were needed for AppleCare+, he suddenly decided my phone didn’t even need to be checked and just told me to “go back to whoever fixed it” because the glass had been replaced recently. The phone is an iPhone 17 Pro Max and the replacement glass was genuine Apple glass, yet there was still no attempt to verify eligibility, explain what the issue was, or provide any actual customer guidance. To make things more confusing, early in the conversation he answered my question about whether he worked for Apple by saying he did. At the end of the interaction, he then clarified that he actually worked for Geek Squad instead. The problem wasn’t hearing “no.” The problem was the inconsistency, lack of communication, and overall dismissive attitude throughout the interaction.

  The Geek Squad is always very helpful and explain what's wrong with laptop/computer as well as repair it. I am happy with the service from the Geek Squad. SMILE

  Called them to see what they charge and was put on hold for at least 15 minutes. Guess I will try someone else.
