  Thank you, Dr. Joe, and to the entire staff for taking care of our Luna. We are especially grateful to the staff member who recognized how seriously ill she was and made an urgent appointment for us. Luna was very sick, and we weren’t sure how things were going to turn out. We are grateful that the outcome was so positive. I would give you five stars even if the outcome had been different—but thankfully, we got to bring her home. Thank you again for everything you did. The Wilson Family

  Very expensive for extensive tests which was why I had to let my little man go to the bridge but very friendly, very helpful, easy to get in and wonderfully caring.

  I am absolutely disgusted with this pet clinic. Our dog is now 12 years old, and this is not the first disappointing experience we have had here. When he was around eight years old, we brought him in for an abscess. They inserted tubing and left the wound open so it could continue draining. Years later, we brought him in because he stopped eating. I spent over $500 on bloodwork and never received a phone call with the results. Every time I called, I was told someone would get back to me. No one ever did. That was $500 wasted with absolutely no follow-up. Now our dog has developed another abscess and is clearly not doing well. He had a fever and had not eaten for two days. Instead of having an honest conversation about his age, his recurring health issues, and whether euthanasia should at least be discussed as an option, the focus immediately turned to a $2,000–$3,000 hospitalization with IV treatment for several days. When we explained that we could not afford that amount, they suggested a roughly $700 procedure to clean the wound and provide antibiotics. Once again, they left a large wound open and told us to come back in three days. Since then, our dog appears to be in even more pain than he was before. What frustrates me most is the feeling that this clinic prioritizes expensive treatments over honest conversations about what may truly be best for the animal. They present themselves as caring deeply about pets, but my experience has repeatedly felt like a bait-and-switch: “We care about your dog”—as long as you can afford the most expensive option. Shame on this clinic for failing to provide better communication, follow-up, and realistic guidance for owners of elderly pets. Watching your dog suffer is heartbreaking, and leaving a veterinary appointment feeling pressured rather than supported is unacceptable. I would not recommend this clinic based on my experiences. Update: Tragically, less than 24 hours after spending nearly $700 on treatment, we were forced to make the heartbreaking decision to euthanize our beloved dog and pay an additional $300 to end his suffering. In hindsight, this difficult but compassionate option could and should have been discussed from the outset, given his age and declining condition. I also reached out to corporate regarding my concerns. Three days later, I have yet to receive any response. Ironically, the only prompt reply I have received has been to my public review. This leads me to believe that these responses are more about preserving appearances than genuinely addressing customer concerns. At the end of the day, VCA is exactly what it appears to be—a corporation. My experience has left me feeling that emotions and desperation are exploited, while meaningful accountability and compassionate guidance are lacking. Once the bill is paid, there seems to be little motivation to acknowledge mistakes or make things right. I understand that veterinary medicine is expensive and that outcomes cannot always be predicted. However, pet owners deserve honest conversations, timely communication, and compassionate recommendations that prioritize the wellbeing of the animal rather than the most costly course of action. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this organization and would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options before entrusting their pets’ care to VCA. Update: They did reach out and apologize. I do appreciate the generosity they expressed towards our dog and were sincere about what had happened.
