  On 7/31 VCA Ontario was the 4th vet we had seen, we were given a different diagnosis, and i wish I would have went here right after my primary vet.. so aftr 4 vet visit they were finally able to tell me what was wrong with my dog, and it wasn't what the other vets said it was, and I want to Thank Dr Woodcock soo much if it wasn't for him we wouldn't have been able to save my dog Ares life bcuz of him working with us and referring us to B Street we were able to save my dogs life he was so sympathetic so kind and understanding of our situation I can not thank him enough we appreciate you so much Dr Woodcock.. Ares is doing so much better were still taking it day by day but he has so much energy now hes eating playing and running around just like his old self thank you again thank u i cant say it enough.. If anyone is in need of a vet please don't hesitate to bring you animals here they are so wonderful and kind Dr Woodcock is a blessing 🙏..

  NEVER take you fur babies to this place if you love them. NEVER have surgery here. My worst experience ever. They sent my pup home with a "mild" infection, wanted $700 more on top of $10,000 to run culture and $2400 more for another night of care. Took her to real vet had surgery again but could not save her due to the infection. May you all reap what you sow. Damn bell house.

  DON'T TRUST THIS VET. They will do their best to talk you into spending a large amount of your money and will, more often than not, recommend up front that you put your animal down if you can't afford the "deluxe" treatment of keeping them through several days and nights. That is the regular scam and specifically preys on desperate animal lovers. It is difficult to imagine what kind of hateful and heartless individuals could do this type of thing. I have proof that they misdiagnose seemingly on purpose and, at a minimum, through careless and vile ignorance. I spent over $11K there in the recent past and had to provide our own health care as my dog was misdiagnosed. We told them he had a sinus infection, and they ignored us, using our trust against us. Test after test, overcharging each time with ambiguous outcomes. I realize that doctors are just practicing medicine, but these incompetent practitioners take that to a new level. I don't believe in hell, but if I did, I would be assured that this place is one of its doorways and the people there are demons. Again, I only advize, DON'T TRUST THESE PEOPLE.

  I'm sharing this experience to encourage pet owners to ask about the diagnostic process. Before moving forward with a serious diagnosis or treatment plan, ask what conditions are being considered, what tests can confirm the diagnosis, and whether other plausible causes should be ruled out first. Those questions can make an important difference in reaching the correct diagnosis. We brought our dog to VCA because she had been vomiting and we were concerned about dehydration. Bloodwork, X-rays, and IV fluids were recommended, and we agreed to the diagnostic workup. After reviewing the bloodwork, the veterinarian told us that the most likely diagnosis was an insulin-producing pancreatic tumor. We were then presented with treatment plans ranging from approximately $6,700 to nearly $12,000, including advanced imaging. While waiting, I researched possible causes of our dog's symptoms and test results and learned that atypical Addison's disease can produce very similar symptoms and is initially screened with a simple resting cortisol blood test. When I later reviewed our dog's lab results, I also noticed they documented an "absence of a stress leukogram," another finding that is often associated with Addison's disease. This possibility had not been discussed. When I asked whether Addison's disease could be tested for, I was told, "We can add that." Instead, we sought a second opinion. Within hours, the second hospital performed a resting cortisol test, followed by an ACTH stimulation test, which confirmed atypical Addison's disease. Our dog has made a full recovery and requires only a daily prednisone pill.
