I took my cat in around 7pm on a Wednesday for a possible urinary blockage. The staff was very empathetic to our situation and did a great job caring for my nervous boy! The doctor who saw us was great, as was the doctor who called me with discharge instructions during the shift change. The technicians and CSRs who helped me were all amazing! For an emergency hospital, I found this place to be reasonably priced. I have a vetmed background and can only imagine how difficult it must be to work in such a fast paced, high pressure enviornment. I was very impressed with the team here! If I ever need emergency vet care in the future, I will be back.

Let me start off by saying that I have not been to other vets for emergency’s, this was the closest to my house and my puppy suffered a bad hit to his head. My puppy a yorkie was unconscious and then gained consciousness started throwing up and was having seizures one of the most horrific things ever. Eventually he stopped but he was stiff but still breathing . So in fight or flight I starting making calls and looking for a dog emergency. VCA was the closest (which was still 20 min away) Scared as I was I still asked for help they took him and doctor really left it up to me. They could start help for $1600 dollars to start. Now I don’t know how vets work but they were already charging me this just by looking at him. Shouldn’t they figure out what it is and then quote me? I was in such confusion and uncertainty to what was going to happen and why I was the one basically holding his fate. I knew he was in bad shape we had thought he was dead already from when he was unconscious. I hoped for a straight answer but I didn’t get one. I did not prepare for a $1600+ bill but he got worse as I was thinking about what to do. They did give him pain medicine but I was still unsure . I didn’t want my pup to suffer and from the vibes I got I knew it was gonna be well over $1600. I had to call it , and I put him to sleep. I still regret it and I can’t stop rethinking it. My gut told me they wouldn’t help him anyways if I spent the money . Just by seeing how they operate. He was in bad shape and all they did was help him get air and give him pain medication. They did not do tests nothing. So they could not give me a proper diagnosis. Again I knew I was running out of time and I knew the worse he got the less they would pull him out. I put my poor pup to sleep he wasn’t even 1 year old. I don’t know if these places don’t actually know what they are doing but I would do more research just to be on the safe side to actually take your pet to a place where you feel they actually help and know what’s going on. I had one shot to save my pup and I wish I would’ve had another vet lined up for him to maybe have a chance. The only pro was that I had the option to stop his suffering. I just wish I would’ve know if it was the right call . It was $500 to put him sleep and get his ashes.

We brought two of our 6mo old pups with parvo here. Day 1- Check in didnt take long. I was pleased with the staff. There was a hiccup in communication at the very end. We were notified that our dogs were ready for pickup. We waited around 45 minutes and decided to call because our dogs were not brought out. We were told at that time that the iv puncture needed to scab. No big deal but would have been nice to have had that communicated in the beginning. Day 2- I brought one of my pups back for a second outpatient iv treatment. He was in really bad shape. I waited in the car for 1 hour and 20 minutes before they got him inside the building. No communication for over an hour and we called. They said they were working on a treatment plan and would contact us to discuss what treatments we want for our Sam. No contact. At this point it had been 2 hours give or take a handful of minutes. We called back to hear that they were sending us a treatment plan. At that point my frustration took over because my sam who has parvo and was severely dehydrated was in thier care for 2 hours and nothing was being done. We were transferred to the "something coordinator" who answered the phone laughing. We asked about the treatment plan. She tried to make it sound like she sent it a while ago which she did not. She sent it while we were calling before we were transferred to her. I have the email timestamp. By then, I was quickly saying yes to all the recommended treatment because now it had been 3 hours and 20 minutes, not including the 45 minute drive there, since sam had any liquids. Hours are crucial with parvo cases. The 2nd day was horrific. My guess is, my little sam fell through the cracks on a shift change and everyone dropped the ball. However, as unsatisfactory as that 2nd day was, my sam pulled through and both of my pups are doing great. They would have passed away if it wasn't for this vet centers care but man did that 2nd day suck!

We had to rush our dog Cooper, our beloved Yorkshire Terrier, to the VCA in Murrieta, California at 3:00 AM on Thursday, April 9th. From the moment we arrived, the team acted quickly, compassionately, and professionally. They kept us informed every step of the way, which brought us so much comfort during a very stressful time. Cooper was diagnosed with HGE and pancreatitis, and the staff immediately got to work caring for him. After a 24-hour stay, we were able to bring him home at 9:00 AM on Friday, April 10th. Later that evening, we noticed a concerning spot on his abdomen. We emailed photos to the doctor, and without hesitation, they asked us to come back in. When we arrived, we were welcomed right away, and the staff quickly took Cooper back for evaluation. Within 30 minutes, the doctor met with us and reassured us that the spot was simply from urine excretion and nothing serious. We were able to take him home with peace of mind and follow up with our regular vet the next morning. Every single member of the VCA team was warm, attentive, and genuinely caring. They worked efficiently while never making us feel rushed, and they truly went above and beyond to make sure both Cooper and our family were okay. We’ve been to this VCA location multiple times over the years with our dogs, and every experience has been exceptional. Their dedication, compassion, and professionalism are unmatched. Thank you, VCA Murrieta, for taking such incredible care of Cooper. He’s not just a pet to us, he’s family, and we are so grateful for everything you did for him!!
