I can’t speak for the other veterinarians, but Dr. Perez is amazing! She is thorough and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend her and her staff. I always know my babies are in good hands. They offer quick scheduling and the prices aren’t bad, especially given the area.

I took my Aussie Shepherd for a follow-up visit to deal with a wax / cerumen impaction in her ear. I did not see the initial vet I saw for a routine physical exam a month earlier in October. This vet prescribed ear drops and requested I follow up in a few weeks. When I returned today a month later after applying the drops the wax impaction remained which I asked them to remove. The follow-up vet for some reason did a full exam (unnessary and a $129 charge) despite my scheduling a follow-up visit just to check her ear. I was told she still had the cerumen impaction and would need to be sedated ($259) which I agreed to as she seemed to have some degree of hearing loss (likely old age as the other ear was fine). So while in the waiting room the assistant handed me an estimate which included the exam (unnecessary), sedation (necessary) and then a 'hospital set-up' fee ($59) and another 'hospital fee' ($16.50). I complained about the seeming 2 fees for hospital-related services and the assistant initially said I would need to talk to 'the manager' and then when they couldn't reach her agreed to discount the $16.50 fee. The manager then called me back while I was driving home with my dog and stated that she would not discount the fee and that despite my being handed a 'revised' invoice with the $16.50 fee removed, told me I needed to pay the original $504. charge. This is nonsense, unnecessarily exorbitant and I will not be coming back to this practice.

Do not take your pets here unless you want to be taken advantage of and charged for unnecessary and unhelpful medications. I specifically made an appt with a female vet because my dog doesn’t like men. When we got there we were bombarded with a male vet and his male assistant. My dog and I were NOT happy about that. Then the guy proceeds to ring me up for a bunch of medications that she didn’t need and barely touched on the reason we were there in the first place. I was worried my pup was dehydrated because she was vomiting bile that morning and appeared stressed about it. He then went on to try and get me to agree to test her for heartworm even though she was vaccinated, and also the shots of fluid, along with 2 medications that she didn’t need at all. He then presented me with a nearly $1000 bill. I said no heartworm testing, that brought it down to $650. I figured the vet knew what he was doing so I agreed to that and it turns out he didn’t. They were completely unnecessary so I didn’t even give them to her. I’m never bringing my pets here again. They are crooks.

Poor Service
Before the vest sold to VCA this was a very good animal clinic. Now the procedures are rigid, the schedule is overbooked, and everyone is rushed and far slower to respond. You can't call without being put on hold, the vets never call you back personally any more, and the unbending rules from the giant corporate parent, VAC, can be flat squeezing the service and friendliness out of the staff. Try elsewhere.
