I scheduled a Genius Bar appointment because I needed help backing up data from my MacBook with a cracked screen. Instead of addressing the issue I came in for, the associate seemed focused on selling me a screen replacement. Once I agreed to the repair and signed the paperwork, my backup issue was left unresolved.
I then sought help from several other employees, but no one could provide a clear solution. Multiple associates were unable to help, which made me question their expertise. Several employees were dismissive, seemed inconvenienced, and gave the impression that they wanted to rush me out.
Similar to other reviews, I felt that my family and I were treated differently than some other white customers. As a person of color, the experience left us feeling unwelcome and uncomfortable.
Overall, I expected better technical support and customer service from Apple. The focus seemed to be on selling a repair rather than helping me solve the problem I had scheduled the appointment to address.

Absolutely bad experience, and it’s sad as Apple celebrates its customer service.
I had a damaged external case and display (laptop was functioning fine) and was estimated around $1500 for replacement.
When I picked up the laptop, the device asked me to setup a new userid/ password, which I was not expecting.
The store manager Kate checked with a technical expert and told me literally this ‘your data is lost , we cannot do anything, you kind of agreed to it in the waiver you signed’.
Had I known the data could be lost, I could have backed up some of my recent files and above all been prepared. Absolutely bad service … and above all very indifferent tone and attitude . Not expected this from a long standing Apple Store.
(to their credit the past interactions with the store have been fine and even delightful).

This is the worst Apple Store I’ve ever been to in my life. I had an absolutely horrible customer service in this Apple Store. The staff there were incredibly rude, extremely arrogant, and utterly impatient. The store manager ignored complaints from customers and smugly believed they were doing a great job. They are very arrogate and make me feel disgusting. I never imagined that customer service at an Apple Store could be like this awful and terrible!!! I recommend everyone try visiting an Apple Store at a different location.
Apple Store employees are the frontline representatives of Apple and its brand, but this kind of behavior only serves to shock and frustrate customers—especially for a brand that emphasizes customer value and experience. Despite all the marketing Apple does around customer service, it’s truly disheartening to see them hire people who treat customers this way.
