  Zero stars if I could. Very unhappy experience and now my dogs separation anxiety is worse than when we went in. My 10 1/2 year old high anxiety dog has recently had a turn for the worst with her behavior. The vet’s must have an in with their pharmacist. I was held separate from my dog and lectured for over an hour and a half to blindly medicate my dog. Played multiple power trips, whole staff got involved, and refused anything other than sedating my dog for the rest of her life. I had to scream for them to give me my ESA back because they felt she was unsafe with me. The staff did not request to do any bloodwork or imaging to confirm her change in behavior was due to a larger concern either. After I left, drained emotionally from begging for my dog back (and the less important refund), they proceeded to call the cops on me. If you are at your ends with handling a situation and need help, they are only going to escalate things. Stay clear of their manipulative staff.

  VCA Loomis Vet is hands (and paws) down the best place to bring your pets! My dogs have had great experiences there and the personal service we get is outstanding! Leo and Dr. Dilley were both amazing with my precious dogs. I don’t trust any other vet now that I’ve been to VCA Loomis!! I drive an hour and 10 minutes just to get there and then the same going home, but it’s so worth it! If you are having second thoughts about your vet, give them a try!! You won’t be disappointed!!

  Very clean and well run facility. Had a specialist appt w/ Dr. Mazzini, Who I can’t say enough positive things about. It was immediately obvious how much he cares for animals and made both me and my dog feel comfortable right away! He is also very efficient and breaks down everything in Laymans terms, and get practical recommendations that don’t feel overwhelming. And, he is funny! It was great to have such a positive experience, dealing with a newly diabetic dog and trying to get her regulated. And, to know she is in great hands if further care is needed.

  I am writing this review with an extremely heavy heart after losing my dog, Chunk. Chunk was only two years old and had tons of life left in her—she wasn't ready to die. We brought her to CVA Lumis Basin Veterinary Clinic as a critical emergency when she was suffering from dystocia and needed an urgent C-section. Upon arrival, the response and service were horrible. Instead of acting with the urgency required for a life-threatening labor emergency, they failed to help us or provide the care she needed. I had to take Chunk home and then seek help at a different veterinary hospital, where we were ultimately faced with the devastating decision to have her put down. Their total failure to assist during a critical emergency caused unnecessary delay and distress during Chunk's final hours, costing her a full life. I strongly advise pet owners to be extremely cautious before trusting this clinic with an emergency.

  Juliana (Jules) has worked for VCA Loomis Basin for a very long time. With that comes knowledge, expertise, and experience. That is why I pray that she is working every time I come in with my wild crazy terrier mix. My medium size dog acts as if she is a strong Great Pyrenees every time she gets a nail trim. She is scared and fearful that she is going to get hurt. Something must have happened to her before I rescued her because she has always been this way. I cannot take her to the grooming salon to get her nails trimmed. She has four declaws, so they always give up before they get through all of the nails. I drive all the way from Orangevale to go to VCA Loomis Basin because I know the job will get done right by professionals. With that being said, Juliana connects with her somehow. They relate. Juliana holds her tight without hurting her and without scaring her. There was another Vet-tech that helped her this last time. Big-tall man (John?) that has also been there for many years. He is also amazing annd he deserves respect for all that he does as well as working with my dog. Juliana has been my dog’s (Avery) rock for a while now. It’s like Avery hopes that she is there too. Even if we’re just going for a traditional appointment with Dr. Gallardo, who she also loves. When Juliana comes around the corner Avery jumps for joy. In closing, I want everyone to know that VCA Loomis Basin has a crew of talented, dedicated, passionate, and hard working professionals. Their staff is there to help and support you and your pet through hard times. I hope that Juliana reads this post on Google to know that she is appreciated and loved by not only me, but by Avery as well. Thank you for making my baby girl feel safe and loved during such a difficult time. Many many thanks! You are the best and deserve a raise girl for dealing with dogs like mine! Thank you!
