My first visit to the Apple Store became my Worst service experience I have ever had.
I went there to recover a few messages that had been accidentally deleted, “but instead, all my personal photos from the past 10- 15 years of my life had been erased from my phone.
Without any warning 😢😢😢😢” by resetting my phone without warning, even a few times, mentions that my photos are not saved on the cloud!!!!!!!
The technicians at this Apple Store lacked the knowledge, professionalism, and customer service skills necessary to properly assist customers. They did not communicate important information, showed very little respect or empathy, and did not seem to care about the impact their actions could have on me as a customer, even store managers.

I would like to recognize Santiago at the Apple Store in Irvine for the exceptional service he provided to my adult daughter with special needs.
We visited to learn about the Apple Vision Pro, and Santiago spent a great deal of time helping her feel comfortable. He carefully measured her vision, explained the technology in a way we could understand, and never once made us feel rushed. My daughter was very nervous about trying the headset, but Santiago was incredibly patient, kind, and encouraging throughout the entire experience.
What stood out most was the way he connected with her. He spoke with genuine warmth, respect, and understanding, making her feel safe and supported. His professionalism and knowledge were impressive, but his compassion made the biggest impact.
Santiago turned what could have been an intimidating experience into a positive and memorable one for our family. I hope he is there every time we visit the Apple Store. Thank you, Santiago, for your patience, kindness, and outstanding customer care.

I cannot fine the reservation place online. The headings say reservations, appointment. Nothing close to that follows. If I go to the store without an appointment, they will turn me away.

I went here yesterday with my son. As soon as we walked in one employee looked at us and made a face and walked over to the employee that was standing by the door. As my son was being helped by a different employee a cop comes in and starts standing around. We continued to be helped by the employee who was trying to schedule us an appointment to have the MacBook fixed. After it being more than obvious that they had called the cop to watch us we walked out. Seconds after we left the cop did too. Supposedly there’s no racism but I didn’t see any cops in there until us black people went inside.

Very disappointing experience at the Apple Store at Irvine Spectrum.
I had a scheduled 6:20 PM appointment on June 17 for an $89 battery replacement on my iPhone 13 Pro Max and planned my evening around it.
I came with my entire family expecting the repair to be completed during the visit. Instead, we spent approximately 50 minutes at the store while my phone was being inspected and prepared, only to be told at the very end that the battery replacement would not happen that day and that I would need to come back tomorrow.
My issue is not that the appointment had to be rescheduled. Unexpected situations happen. My issue is the lack of communication and poor expectation management. During those 50 minutes, nobody informed me that there was a possibility the repair would not be completed that day.
One employee apologized, which I appreciated. However, another employee who introduced himself as a manager remained silent during the conversation and did not offer an explanation or acknowledge the inconvenience.
What is even more frustrating is that this experience has reduced my confidence in scheduling future Apple repairs. As a customer, I now have to wonder whether a future appointment will actually result in a completed repair or whether I will once again reorganize my schedule, drive to the store, and lose another hour only to be asked to come back another day.
That uncertainty undermines the purpose of having an appointment system in the first place.
This was my first Apple repair experience despite owning Apple products for many years, including multiple iPhones and MacBooks. I have always associated Apple with exceptional customer service, which made this experience especially disappointing.
Apple can and should do better.
