One of the worst best buy’s you could ever go to. The staff are horrible and extremely lazy. No one wants to work and the Geek squad are absolute trash. They are never there and when asked they ask you to come back after 2 hrs with an appointment like they are some doctors and lawyers. I hope Amazon makes you go bankrupt.
Edit : Like all the reviews mentioned below, the guy who sits at the front (05/15 at 6pm) complete useless.
PLEASE go to the best buy in Torrance instead. They are 10X better. The manager there is amazing. He saw me waiting for the Geek Squad for maybe 2 mins and he made sure have someone take care of me and I was in and out in about 10 mins.

I want to take the time to write an honest review about the Best Buy branch in Hawthorne because my experience was completely unacceptable.
First of all, the staff handling this situation were extremely careless and unprofessional, and here is why.
I was searching for an open-box Apple Studio Display. The listing stated it was in “Excellent Open Box” condition. For anyone buying an Apple product, that description matters because it strongly suggests the item is close to new condition and still carries meaningful Apple warranty coverage.
I purchased the monitor in a rush and picked it up quickly. The product came with no original box, no proper packaging, and no cables. Nothing. They did not even provide a proper carry-out box for transportation. That alone should have been a major warning sign because this was absolutely NOT “Excellent” condition.
After bringing it home, I realized I needed the correct Thunderbolt cable to properly connect it to my Mac Studio. I contacted the Best Buy Hawthorne branch simply to ask about the missing accessories and explain the situation.
Instead of helping, I was told there was some kind of “case” attached to my account and that I needed to contact Best Buy’s legal team. Imagine how ridiculous and stressful that sounds to a customer who only asked about missing parts for a monitor.
After spending more than 3 hours speaking with Best Buy legal team members, it became clear that the entire situation was a mistake and there was absolutely nothing wrong on my side.
At that point, I started looking deeper into the product itself, and the truth became even worse.
This monitor was listed as “Excellent Open Box,” but it was clearly NOT an open-box item. It appears to have been heavily used, a store demo unit, or previously owned for years. When I checked the device registration, I discovered the Apple warranty started in 2022. This means the display is already around 4 years old.
Let me repeat that:
I paid around $1300 for a supposedly “Excellent Open Box” Apple Studio Display that is actually around 4 years old with expired AppleCare coverage.
That is extremely misleading.
A brand-new Apple Studio Display costs around $1500. Selling a heavily used or demo unit from 2022 for nearly the same price while labeling it as “Excellent Open Box” is unacceptable.
This was not “excellent.”
This was not “open box.”
This was not fairly represented.
This Was not even refurbished
Customers deserve transparency when spending this kind of money. Please look carefully at the photos I posted before buying open-box products from this location. never recommend this Store.
My recommendation when buying any open-box item is to immediately take photos and videos of the product inside the store as soon as you receive it.
For example, they often claim an open-box Apple product still comes with a “1-year warranty,” but what they do not clearly explain is that the warranty starts from the ORIGINAL purchase date — not from the date you buy it from Best Buy.
That means if someone bought and registered the item 7 months ago, your so-called “1-year warranty” may only have a few months left. And with Best Buy membership programs allowing extended return periods, some items may have been used for months before being returned.
So in many cases, you are not buying something “almost new.” You are buying a heavily used item being resold as “Excellent Open Box.”
Do not blindly trust salespeople’s words. Many of them are trained to push the sale and change your mind — not always by directly lying, but sometimes by leaving out important details or avoiding the full truth.
Unfortunately, that is the reality.

Came in to buy an open box TV I saw on the app. I wanted to check out the quality and I liked it. I tried to purchase it in store but they would not price match the app price, which was $100 less and I wanted to split the payment, since I received a gift card for my birthday. I was forced to buy it online and I could not use my gift card.
