- PCPhyllis CantorMay 30, 20195.0I needed a third opinion for a very sick dog that had been treated for almost a month, and was worse. Several people recommended this clinic. When I called, I was told that I could get a free first appointment that same day! The doctor I saw had read the reports and test results from the other vets I'd been to, called me to discuss before the appointment, then listened intently and took ample time when I was seen, did an exam, and sent me home with the clearest most logical course of action I'd received. She was very midful of the fact that I'd already spent over $2,000, and so did not run up a large bill. I wish I had started with this doctor.
- LFLiterary FanMay 16, 20171.0After being a client for 20+ years, 4 cats, 8 dogs, I called when my dog had a fever and was drinking a lot of water. The person who answered booked a same day appt but cautioned me that they might have to send us to the ER if she was too sick. Okay. A few minutes later, the practice manager called back and told me they don’t see sick pets. I was shocked and confused. I asked if they could at least evaluate her. Nope. Fever=sick. What should I do? She suggested I call around and find another vet! She didn’t even offer to check other VCAs. Great advice. Fortunately, I called Fairfax Vet Clinic, which had me bring her in immediately. Turns out she was very sick and was in the hospital for 10 days.
