  The staff here are wonderful. They got our cat, Max, in for an emergency visit and immediately began working on him. Unfortunately, we did decide to say goodbye to him due to the multitude of health complications he had. Dr Fliehr, Nelly, and Lisa were very compassionate and let us spend extra time with Max before letting him go. I'm very grateful for the care and attention he received. Thank you.

  My sister had such a terrible experience at this place. The estimate for treatment was almost $700 off, the doctors said she needed an EKG to check for heart murmur before her visit and she said if her little dog had a murmur she didn't want the procedure. They didn't call her and did the procedure anyway. The follow-through was awful and the experience was terrible. She was afraid to post a review in fear of having them treat her poorly if she had to return. What a horrible place!

  A HUGE thank you to the amazing staff at the emergency vet! We got home around 5:00 PM and discovered that our Hoss boy had decided his life was worth eating 24 oz. of semi-sweet chocolate chips while we were gone. Needless to say, our chocolate-loving troublemaker gave us the scare of a lifetime! By the time we called, he was already showing signs of the chocolate affecting his system, and I was an absolute blubbering mess on the phone. Chelsea was so incredibly sweet and patient with me, letting me cry while she gathered our information and helped us get everything started as we rushed over. They got Hoss in right away and explained the initial treatment plan. We were already stressed about how expensive everything was going to be, but they took the time to work with us and put together a treatment plan that fit within our budget. Hoss received the treatment he needed, and thankfully, he is now home resting and recovering. When they finally brought our boy back out to us, I immediately started crying all over again, this time out of pure relief that he was okay. There really aren't enough words to express how grateful we are for the care, kindness, and compassion we received. You didn't just take care of our chocolate-eating boy; you took care of a very scared family, too. Thank you for treating all of us with so much love during such a stressful situation. We will forever be grateful! And I want to give this staff an extra-special shoutout for something else we witnessed while we were there. As we were checking out, another dog was brought in unresponsive. The staff immediately rushed into action, taking the dog back for care and getting the owner into a room right away. Unfortunately, that sweet pup didn't make it. 💔 But watching the compassion and love the staff showed that owner during such a heartbreaking moment was truly touching. Even with what seemed like 20 people waiting and so much happening all at once, the staff handled everything with grace, professionalism, and genuine compassion. They cared for our boy while also showing so much kindness to another family experiencing one of the hardest moments imaginable. That kind of care doesn't go unnoticed. It takes a special team of people to handle situations like these, and every single person we encountered deserves recognition for the work they do. If we ever find ourselves in another emergency, we will absolutely be coming back. Hopefully, Hoss has learned that chocolate chips are NOT worth an emergency vet bill! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking such wonderful care of our family and our troublemaking chocolate thief.   Call ahead even on emergencies call as driving. They have different rates for non emergencies to make an appointment for like urgent care. Have had great services! Staff real nice and caring. Just wish they had vet tech to come out to access the animals vitals when you arrive. Maybe something they can add in future. Specialty care is available, wait time for dental? Overall great place!

  ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Caring, quick, and compassionate I've visited VCA Valley Oak Veterinary Hospital twice recently, and both times the experience was excellent. The service was quick and friendly, and the staff were genuinely caring and compassionate, which makes all the difference during a stressful ER visit. It's a little on the expensive side, but that's to be expected with emergency care, and I felt the quality of care was worth it. I'd absolutely recommend them.
