You can't get through to them. I called multiple times, I went in they gave me the vets personal card and told me to call them to make an appointment even though I was in the office. All the vet cards had the same nunber and it went straight to the voicemail still haven't recieved a call. After 2 weeks of trying to make an appointment just so my dog could fly. I gave up and am going to Orland. If you dont already have something going on with this vet I would recommend a different one

I live in Redding and drive to Chico to see the doctors at VCA Valley Oak. I have dealt with 3 other VCA Hospitals in the last 8 years and this clinic is hands down the best from the front office staff, the techs to the doctors. I cannot say enough about how kind, helpful, and accommodating they have been.

I would like someone there to tell me why they did not put anything in the medical record of a cat who had probably been hit by an automobile and may have even been poisoned. The cat was homeless but I tried to help and I could not get any pain medicine for the poor cat. I was willing to adopt her and spend up to $500 helping her but this place didn't help her at all. They refused to give her pain medicine. They just cared about getting more and more money from me. I had to give them a $1,000 deposit and they still didn't help the poor cat. I didn't know anywhere else to go on a Sunday besides Cottonwood veterinary clinic and they have been getting a bad reputation. So I took the cat home. She had a good appetite and a good heart rate so I was hoping she was going to be okay but she died 1 and 1/2 days after these damn people were supposed to give her pain medicine. I said something about 10 times about pain medicine and an x-ray and they didn't help at all with anything. They wouldn't even give her water. I am going to do what I can as a biologist to try to get this place closed down. They want money for nothing . They tried to convince me that they would be cheaper than Cottonwood . I would have been better off dealing with Cottonwood clinic . At least they are rated higher, a lot higher. The veterinarian I talked to might have been okay but her assistants were terrible . People who need to deal with Chico VCA clinic need to double check with veterinarian to see if he or she is getting all the information about an animal from assistants and technicians.
