  Dr. Coates has been the best doctor I have ever came across, not only knowledgeable but she shows deep empathy for your pets which also shows in the high quality of her work. If you want to ensure your pets get the best life they can possibly live I recommend coming in and getting an exam asap!

  Extremely disappointing experience. My impression was that the main goal here is to charge as much as possible rather than actually help pets. I paid a significant amount and received very little value in return. The staff did not seem knowledgeable, the recommendations were unhelpful, and I left with less confidence than when I arrived. Every interaction felt focused on additional charges rather than solving the problem. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this clinic and will not be returning.

  Just found my new vet for my Baci! I received a coupon for an exam and parasite prevention for being a new patient. Booking the appointment was simple, and I received lots of reminders. Upon arrival, we were greeted warmly for our appointment. I disclosed to reception that I have been dealing with financial recovery, and I would need to break up his wellness plan in a few visits. They were extremely understanding and reassured me that there is no pressure to do everything at once. This felt really good to hear and no one made me feel shame for my honesty. I appreciate their support as they can tell I am making an effort to take care of my dog’s health. We get called back, and we immediately felt welcomed! There was a white board with my pet’s name and his doctor. His doctor, Dr. Ortiz, was phenomenal! Thorough, caring, and patient! Amber was our tech and she was equally wonderful. Baci felt safe with the staff, and that made the whole experience seamless. We got the ball rolling on Baci’s vaccines and prevention plans. Definitely will be back and recommend VCA Burbank.

  I recently adopted my first cat and booked our first visit here. When I scheduled, the staff was very friendly and told me the first exam would be free, which made me feel confident choosing this clinic. Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. I arrived about 6 minutes late and was bluntly told my appointment was cancelled with no grace period at all. This was never mentioned when I booked. The waiting room was almost empty, and as a first-time pet owner bringing in a new cat, I expected at least a little understanding. Instead, there was no flexibility. Not a great first impression, and I’ll be taking my pet elsewhere.

  I wish I could say that this hospital supported me in the aftermath of my pet's passing, but I cannot say that in good conscience. I enrolled in CareClub for my pet's annual exam, thinking it was a great way to save money on expensive procedures. That exam found a large tumor in my cat's belly, from which he ultimately died less than a month later. After his passing, I called to cancel my CareClub membership because I obviously didn't need to pay for it any longer. I was told that since I just enrolled and already used the CareClub benefits to pay for his annual exam, I needed to be charged back some of the original amount - essentially $800 worth to cover what the CareClub initially covered. Maybe if I was trying to play the system, I could understand this. But my pet died, a tragic and emotional event that was beyond my control. To be told that I needed to pay $800 on top of all the grief and financial worries I'm sitting with post-cancer treatment is a vile and disgusting grab for greed and profit over anything else. I was never contacted by my cat's vet after he died. There were no condolences or sympathies from a hospital that supposedly values its patients. Only a grab for more money. I wish I could give zero stars. But my silver lining is that I now see corporations such as VCA for what they are - and that is truly eye-opening, even if saddening.
