  Brought my dog Sam here day before yesterday because she was extremely sick and needed to be seen. I have never been here before but when I got here the staff was extremely nice and was very comforting. My dog needed emergency surgery and they took care of my fur baby and I’m so grateful for the staff. Thank you VCA for saving my baby.

  Set down at the hospital for 3 hours. My dog had excessive panting for over 2 hours, while resting was restless. Also, loss of appetite I went knowing it could be heart failure, fluid in the lungs, and all these other things. I was not seen. I sat there for almost an hour with multiple rooms available an nothing. The person before me (the last person besides me) went in and came out and 30 mins later I was still not seen or even acknowledge.. That is ridiculous.

  VCA and their protocols (for their Emergency services) KILLED my dog! First, I want to say that my dogs (all 4 of them) have an established relationship with their vet. The only time I have had to visit VCA was when I was dealing with an urgent matter, after hours. This most recent incident is my tipping point and I will not utilize services at this vet hospital ever again. On Saturday, we noticed he was hiding under the bed and he wasn't eating his food or drinking much. We went to pick him up and he cried loudly. I'm not a doctor but it did seem like his abdomen was tender and touching it hurt him. Right away we took him to VCA. They look at him and tell us that he is stable and to call and his regular vet on Monday. I was surprised that they didn't seem concerned about the tender tummy. We went home as instructed. Over night he got worse and the next morning he was throwing up white foamy saliva. Plus he still hadn't eaten anything and nobody had witness him drinking. Take him back to VCA on Sunday morning. He's just laying there in his stroller. They come to assess him and again claim he's stable and that they won't treat him. I wanted them to run some blood work and do some sort of imaging on his abdomen to find out the cause of the pain. Nope. Nothing. Fast forward to later Monday afternoon. My dog is extremely lethargic and whining a bit. I'm about to drive him to a clinic out of town. His regular vet calls and says that they have a small time slot that they can queeze him into. As soon as we get there, they start blood test and give him and ultrasound. His levels are off the charts and he has a huge stone blocking his urine from emptying. By the time it's discovered the urine back up has already damaged his kidneys and they found that the bladder had ruptured. We had to make the decision to end his suffering. VCA should have ran some lab work or did some sort of imaging when we first went to them (2 days earlier). The stone blocking his urine from entering is really big and they would have caught it. Maybe he wouldn't have had to suffer for 2 days and having his bladder rupture. We wanted to see what was causing the abdomen pain Their actions (or lack of actions) and their protocols make it seem that unless your pet is bleeding out and actively dying, they won't treat the sick animal during emergency hours

  VCA was absolutely wonderful for the terrible week that my partner and I went through with our kitten, Taffy. Her epilepsy was progressing and was treatment resistant. The staff was kind every day that we showed up; soft spoken, considerate and quick to act. I want to thank Dr. Santoyo, who recommended we euthanize due to her progressing condition; the conversation we had late-night after a series of cluster seizures was worded kindly, gently, and prioritized her comfort. Dr. Aguirre performed the procedure, and allowed us to grieve. She did not even question if I would like to hold my kitten in my arms as she went-- she just let me. I would like to additionally thank the staff at VCA, who kept Taffy comfortable and brought her to us wrapped in a soft blanket. I'm extremely grateful.

  I understand that in order for businesses to run they need to run it with patience’s payment but it’s ridiculous that you have to pay $180 just to check your pets into just to then have to pay another 100 dollars for tests? My pet had parvo even the Vet himself said it was parvo only for a minute later wants to run and charge the test for parvo. It’s just greed on there part then having to fight with the vets to understand we don’t have the funds and need the medicine. They are unsympathetic towards you and are only there for a quick check. If your pet is dying do not go here they’ll just make you wait and wait and tell you the bad news rather than consulting you. To put your pet to sleep was another 200 which is understandable but also cremation was another fee then to take the ashes would be another fee? Never come to this place ever go anywhere else
