  I cannot say enough wonderful things about the team at VCA Antioch Animal Hospital Deer Valley. They have been the primary veterinary hospital for many of my family members and their pets for years, and they consistently provide exceptional care, compassion, and professionalism. Their entire team is truly dedicated to both their patients and the families who love them. Recently, a very close family member had to make the heartbreaking decision to say goodbye to their beloved 14-year-old dog. After experiencing two very difficult encounters at separate emergency veterinary hospitals on the same night, they were left feeling overwhelmed and devastated. When Christina, the hospital manager, and the staff at VCA Deer Valley learned about the situation, they immediately stepped in with genuine compassion, empathy, and kindness. During one of the most difficult moments a pet owner can experience, they provided support, understanding, and comfort that meant more than words can express. The leadership at this hospital sets an incredible example, and it is reflected throughout the entire team. Their commitment to both pets and the people who love them is truly remarkable. Because of this experience and the outstanding care they have consistently provided over the years, I will continue to recommend VCA Deer Valley to all of my friends and family. Thank you for everything you do for our pets and our community. ❤️🐾

  My 16-year-old cat had been acting “off” for a few days — hiding, sleeping in unusual places, just not himself. It felt small and maybe even silly to worry about, but I knew something wasn’t right. I brought him to VCA Antioch Animal Hospital – Deer Valley and never once was I made to feel dramatic or silly. Dr. Schutzman spent quality time with me listening to my concerns and helping figure out a plan for my old man. After diagnostics, we learned he is dealing with significant arthritis. We started pain medication that day, gave fluids to help perk him up, ran lab work (which thankfully came back perfect), and started Solensia injections to help manage his osteoarthritis. Every day since, he’s slowly getting back to himself by roaming the house again and acting more like the cat I know and love. I’m incredibly appreciative that the team listened to me and took my concerns seriously. Kara and Hollie were wonderful assistants for Dr. Schutzman, and Jenelle and Melanie at the front desk were patient, kind, professional, and so helpful throughout the visit. I also routinely bring my Lhasa Apso there for grooming with Sal and Julie, and they always do an amazing job (plus the doctors here manage her diabetes!). I’ve had experiences with Dr. Mulgrew helping my other dog when she needed her eye removed, and Davina and Linda have consistently helped with prescriptions accurately and promptly, always communicating clearly when medications are ready and helping set me up with home delivery for food and medications so I don’t have to remember everything myself. The hospital has also helped my family through very sensitive situations, including helping my mother compassionately say goodbye to both her cat and dog. During those difficult moments, the team was incredibly caring and supportive. Overall, this is an excellent hospital. I am so thankful to have found a team that provides not only wonderful medical care and customer service, but also affordable options, especially through their wellness plans.   The tech “helping” me only made things worse for me and my pet. Beware of the tech that goes by Jocelyn Valdez… awful experience with her. Will no longer take my pets here.

  Clean place, and compassionate staff. Very happy with the services. I was able to schedule an appointment to see a Vet doctor on the same day. I got medicine for my senior dog pain and anti-inflammatory medicine, a same day doctor's visit, and an accurate diagnosis for my dog. I paid $506. I recommend this place. It's clean, and feels very professional and staff is super friendly, and compassionate.
