I want to first start off with how Paul, just being himself, had a very calming effect on our Petey. He came in twice, and at both times, Petey sat next to me just as calm, no panting, no pacing, he was peaceful. OH! And, when Paul came out to the car to give Petey his injection, again, sat as calmly and as contentedly as he did inside the vet office. That I had to share first. :) Our Petey has terrible allergies both food and environmental allergies. But this time he had been licking excessively and over night, he had licked his paws and his front upper legs raw, and he had an unfamiliar bright red rash down in his groin area. He was suffering terribly. I got online and luckily there was an appointment for the next day. We got him right in and, not only did his allergies give him grief, but he had a skin infection as well. Something he’d not been diagnosed with before. He got his Cytopoint for his allergies, and Claro for his ears, and, antibiotics, which were new to us. Well, it’s been 24 hours since we were at VCA Gateway Animal Hospital, and WOW. Petey’s skin has improved SIGNIFICANTLY already! He’s been resting now, seeings now he couldn’t with that constant itching. After my husband and I talked, we did recall when Petey had been to a different veterinarian office and they said he had a skin infection but they did NOT give him antibiotics. They sent us home with bathing shampoo, which Petey yelped when we tried to bathe him with it. That was horrible for him. Thank you to VCA Gateway for actually getting our boy Petey well every time he needs them. Thank you.

Went to take dog into this vet place and I only have $100 & they wouldn't help me put my dog down. They wanted to charge me $225. That has got to be the most insensitive people in there. All they doing is giving a single shot to end the dogs life. And they wouldn't do it. It outrageous as hell to have to pay that much for it. It is straight robbery. Can't help out someone when had hard enough time to get the money I had. And I have to bury the dog too. And they were not willing to help out with the cost at all they are inconsiderate. And want to charge so much for doing nothing at all

I contacted the clinic on Monday, as it was the only veterinary facility open at the time. I had a very ill kitten suffering from a respiratory infection and parasites. When I inquired about having him seen as soon as possible, I was informed that the clinic was not accepting new patients unless the situation constituted a life-threatening emergency. This morning, I found him extremely lethargic, and unfortunately, he passed away while in significant pain. I sincerely believe this outcome might have been prevented had he at least been examined or had some form of assistance or guidance been do I understand that veterinary clinics can be extremely busy; however, being turned away without support or direction while caring for an obviously sick animal was deeply distressing.
