RUN AWAY!!!! Absolute trash! They do not care about your animal They only want money!! My son took his puppy here after he suddenly became lethargic, crying, drooling, and not getting up. My son thought he maybe got into old mop water outside but had no idea. His regular vet couldnt get him in and said to find an emergency vet. He UNFORTUNATELY took his baby here and these ba st ards saw doller signs and a dumn young kid. Anyone with any sort of animal experience would have known right away this dog was hurt! These guys wrote my son off saying he must have gotten into edibles and charged him almost $1000 and did NOTHING!!! No blood work, xrays, drug tests. Nothing!! They gave him fluids, test for parvo and sent him home!!! I am livid. As soon as I saw the dog i knew it was an obvious serious injury. This baby was in extreme pain. We are now at another vet who was SHOCKED by the complete incompetence of vca. Please do not go here!

A little late in writing this review, but I took my 6 month old soul cat here in March because he had an issue and the staff here were extremely caring, compassionate, and very friendly! Even when I was an inconsolable mess and had rushed him back in because I was freaking out (he turned out perfectly fine and they calmed me down!) they did a great job with explaining the concerns and diagnostic, suggested I follow up with a general practice vet and the overall price honestly was not that bad. They truly care about their patients and they are so kind. Thank you staff!

I 100% recommend bringing your animals here! We live in Payson, and after being bounced between three different hospitals, we called late at night, and they were able to get us in right away. Dr. Lenius and the nurse who helped us were absolutely amazing. Our puppy was diagnosed with parvo, and they worked with us to create an affordable treatment plan tailored to her needs and ours. After just two days of at-home treatment, she’s already back to herself! They treated us with so much kindness, explained everything clearly, and gave advice as if we were friends, not clients. We are incredibly grateful for this facility and their team!

We recently visited VCA Animal Hospital and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience. While we were placed in a room quickly, we waited nearly two hours before anyone came in to see our cat. When the technician finally came in, there was no introduction—she immediately began asking questions without acknowledging our cat or taking a proper history. We brought our cat in after she ingested plastic and was showing the same symptoms as our previous cat, who sadly passed away just two months ago. This is still very traumatic for us, which made the lack of empathy even more difficult. The technician was extremely disengaged, responding with short answers like “yes” and “mhm,” and didn’t seem interested in understanding the situation. She also handled our cat roughly, swinging the carrier in a way that felt careless and inappropriate. The veterinarian was polite, but spoke very loudly, which made both us and our cat visibly uncomfortable. We were also told ultrasounds are only available Monday–Thursday, which was surprising for what is presented as an emergency facility. When going over paperwork, the technician rushed through everything without proper explanation, making us feel like we were being pushed out rather than cared for. When I asked about the “first exam free” promotion advertised on their website and received for our cat last time, 2 months ago. The technician dismissed it and said no one there had heard of it. Communication overall was inconsistent. The technician couldn’t provide a timeframe for imaging, yet the receptionist later gave one without issue. Discharge was also frustrating—we waited 30 minutes after already paying, only for our cat to again be handled roughly when returned to us. We ultimately decided to seek a second opinion because we did not feel our concerns were taken seriously. Another clinic even noted that the lack of clear communication around results and timing was not appropriate. Once they contacted VCA, the report was sent within an hour—something we were initially told had no timeframe. We had a positive experience here in the past, which is why we returned, but this visit was completely different. Based on this experience, we will not be coming back
