  Complete disregard and unwillingness to help ! We contacted this veterinary hospital after arriving in Montgomery and realizing we had accidentally left our elderly dog’s pain medication at home. Our dog suffers from cauda equina syndrome, a painful spinal condition that causes significant discomfort and mobility issues. We called hoping they could help us with a one-night supply of his medication so he could be comfortable until we returned home. Instead, we were placed on hold for approximately 35 minutes and ultimately transferred to a voicemail box without speaking to anyone who could assist us. When a pet is in pain, every minute matters. We were not looking for anything unreasonable—just guidance or assistance to help our senior dog through the night. We would pay for it ! Unfortunately, the experience left us feeling ignored during a stressful situation. It’s disappointing when a facility that promotes compassion and care for animals is unable to provide even basic support when it is needed most.

  Went last night for our 5 year old Blue Heeler. She had a bone lodged in her throat mouth area and was panting/drooling. They saw her straight away and removed it very quickly. Immediately brought the bone fragment to us and returned our pup. She was herself again, wagging her tail and breathing normally. The veterinary staff was very friendly and so helpful. Would highly recommend. So glad to have a emergency vet nearby.

  My family had a Friday night emergency when our Blue Heeler got a ribeye bone stuck in her throat after 11pm. We rushed to Carriage Hills Animal Hospital after talking with them over the phone. As soon as we arrived, the attentive and friendly staff jumped right on helping our pup. They were able to remove the bone in no time and save our dog's life. We thank God for this place and the great people that work here. Thanks so much!!!

  Told me they can't do anything to help newborn kittens whose mom isn't producing milk. Did not even pretend to care.

  If you ever run into an issue with a duck or chicken, we cannot recommend Dr. Oster in Montgomery, Alabama enough. He is the only avian specialist in the area and also helped develop the exotics program at Auburn, so you truly feel you are in expert hands. We have been dealing with ongoing issues with our sweet duck, Gretchen, for months, and he not only solved the case, but has been such a joy to work with throughout the process. He is extremely communicative, takes the time to call you directly, and even checked in with us by text while he was off. He has been so kind and gentle with our duck, which meant everything to us. He is about a four hour drive from Panama City, but absolutely worth every mile. He is also very affordable, which makes the level of care even more impressive. We are beyond grateful to have found him and truly feel like he saved our duck’s life. I know it can be difficult to find knowledgeable care for ducks and chickens, so I wanted to share our experience for anyone who may need it.
