I had a great experience replacing my apple pencil with Charles. He was friendly, and the whole process went smoothly and quickly.

Reuploaded since they are deleting it. Already left a bad review here so here’s my second one. Brought in my phone last week on a Friday 4/24/26. Had an incident at my job involving my phone which totaled it completely but I figured it’s fine since I have apple care. On that same Friday they said they couldn’t fix it at the moment but they could give me a replacement while my phone gets fixed. They could’ve just given me a brand new one for the $99 fee but they said they didn’t have one in stock so they would have to fix it for that $99 fee. I drove 40 minutes back to my home and took it to my service provider and turns out the phone hadn’t been completely wiped from the last persons information. So I was given a phone with someone elses life on there basically thankfully I was able to track down the original owner and let them know. For all the hassle apple made me and that guy go through that day is absolutely unacceptable. I had to drive another 40 minutes back and missed work completely that day. The other gentleman had to miss work as well and was worried sick about his information being out. At the end they just kept apologizing not offering any sort of right or just compensation for us having wasted our day because of their mistakes. My phone is also covered by apple care but they refuse to fix it and want me to drive 40 minutes back and give them the replacement phone when they didn’t even fix my original one. I was also told in email I will have to pay 1,000+ out of pocket if they want me to have it fixed even though it has apple care on it which is ridiculous.

A little over a week ago, my MacBook Pro would not boot. I booked a support appointment that same evening through the Apple website. The earliest options were the next afternoon at the Apple Store or the next morning at Best Buy. I chose Best Buy hoping to move faster, but they were unable to send the machine in for repair because they couldn't run the required diagnostics on a laptop that wouldn't boot. I then had to wait again for my Apple Store appointment.
At the Apple Store, I purchased a new machine and sent the dead one in for repair, with the expectation that it would be fixed and shipped back to my house. Instead, I received an email last Monday saying the laptop was ready for pickup at the Apple Store. The email came to my address but was addressed to the original owner's name.
I called the store to make sure the name mismatch wouldn't cause problems at pickup. The support assistant didn't have a matching use case for my question, so I got bounced around before it finally transferred me to a real person. That first person sent me back to the auto-attendant, and I eventually reached a second person who updated the name on the account and assured me pickup would be no problem. When I went to pick up the laptop, I still had to wait, and the wrong name was still associated with the repair.
The MacBooks themselves are great. The repair and support process, from the diagnostic limitation at Best Buy to the name-mismatch runaround, was not. I'd encourage Apple to look at: (1) whether Best Buy should be offered as a repair intake option for non-booting machines, (2) why the shipping destination changed from my home to the store, (3) why account name updates didn't propagate to the repair record, and (4) giving the phone support assistant a path for name/identity mismatch questions so callers don't have to fight to reach a human.

I was helped immediately by a number of eager attendees today! Ultimately Felicia helped me though there were some technical difficulties from T Mobile. Though I was frustrated, she maintained her poise and gracefully helped me amidst the technological challenges. She kept the atmosphere light and gave very helpful suggestions to resolve the issues. Ultimately, I executed one of her suggestions and came back and was taken care of by Nathan to set up. Nathan got me through set up, shared some neat techniques and tips, and got me on my way. While the technology and policy from Apple frustrated me, the staff were phenomenal. Thank y’all for being great, positive, and knowledgeable employees!
