- CXchris XRP3 days ago1.0My protection screen cracked on the airplane and wouldn’t allow my phone to unlock using facial recognition. I had to rip it off and stuck the trash in the seat pocket of the airplane thinking I would grab it when I got off, of course I forgot it. Fast forward, tried to get a new one through their “insurance” don’t have to pay full price for a new one if I bought original one there. NOPE!! Better keep the old cracked screen with you in order to get a new one without paying ridiculous full price. And of course they don’t tell you that when you first buy one, their way of getting out of it. So I will take my business elsewhere. * who carries a broken screen protector with them until they have time to get a new one?

We were originally quoted $49 for the repair but Zac called me shortly after to say that there appeared to be a broken piece in the port and the more experienced technician would need to fix it later in the afternoon. Also it would be $149 now since the phone needed to be opened up. We took it to another repair place in the mall to get a second opinion. That technician looked in the port with a flashlight, grabbed a pair of tweezers and pulled out a metal piece. He plugged the phone in and it worked immediately. It was such a quick fix that they didn’t charge us as all.
