The rep assured me over the phone that they had the exact color I wanted in stock, so I made the trip to the store. When it was time to activate the new phone, turns out they didn’t have it after all—only one color was available, and it wasn’t the one I asked for. When I expressed my disappointment, the employee actually said, “It doesn’t matter, you’re just going to put a case on it anyway.” I politely said I’d rather come back another day when my color was in stock. Instead of leaving it at that, I was told they wouldn’t bother ordering one for me without a deposit because “it would be a waste of their time.” I never asked anyone to hold a phone for me, and that comment was completely unnecessary and rude. In the end I went ahead with the upgrade just to get out of there, only to discover later that they had changed my plan without clearly explaining it. They insisted it would only affect my Disney+ bundle, but it actually canceled my Apple Music subscription too. Now I’m stuck on a new plan because my old one is no longer offered by Verizon. I visited a different Verizon location the same day and was treated completely differently—helpful, patient, and professional. I had a great experience at this same store a couple of years ago when I got my previous phone, but it’s clearly under new management now. Overall, the customer service and communication at this location was shockingly poor. I will not be returning and cannot recommend anyone else go there.
